Here I go, Again on my O...OH never mind! POKEMON FEELS SOCIAL AGAIN!!!
Finally 1 of the 2 "updates" that we Pokemon GOers have been waiting for has arrived! I am so glad that we now have a gifting & trading system. ^_^
Pokemon GO! had been lack luster to use who have the Nostalgic memories of playing Pokemon on the GB, GBP or GBC, heck even GBA! WHERE was the trading? Where were the BATTLES?...they didn't even release all Pokemon right away...I mean come on I understand Ditto was hard to code in comparison to the others & the Legendaries were needing the stall but still it was way too long.
Granted we cannot fix the past & the future is looking bright now!! We can finally trade, granted its limited & costly(kinda) but still FREAKING awesome! ^_^ Now we only have to wait for PVP battles & eventually if we can keep up the popularity numbers we could even get an International trading system...that may seam like a stretch but I can see it being restricted to 1 per month or even 1 per country...one can wish! LAWL
Ok so here is how it works!
Step 1) Through PVP interaction IRL or ISML(In Social Media Life) give your Trainer Code or get one from someone!
Step 2) Add their Trainer Code to the add friend field or wait for them to do so!
Step 3) send/receive gifts that are now able to be found at Poke Stops or Gyms!
Step 4) Increase your Friend status by trading or battling together, this will make trading & battling better!
Step 5) PROFIT! once you have "played together" for 90 days that's when its best to trade those hard to find Pokemon or Shiny/Legendary Pokemon!
Now before I forget there is also an introduction of gifting as well, the idea behind gifting is to have a way for those who aren't always available to "group" up can still get added bonuses by playing with others/friends! this is great cause the requirement for 90 days of playing with a friend may be hard for most due to jobs, school, life!...the gifting system allows one to "play" with someone without having to go play with them, this way its harder to miss a day...It also increases the chance people who play more frequently to help their less frequent players stay "into the game" I know how grinding for Pokeballs at Pokestops just to have enough to catch Pokemon for a Day can be...boring & disheartening, Heck I'm on my 3rd try playing, I hope to stick around more with the growth of the game & community getting more stable!!
Gifting can provide Balls, Potions, Berries, Stardust & Special 7KM eggs that only have Alolan Pokemon!...there are currently 4 Pokemon you can get from these Eggs but there may be more Later!!
Some are wondering WHY! do I need to wait, Cause If you don't that's gonna cost you 1,000,000 stardust!
That's a lot when the average research reward if stardust is 200-300 & the average Pokemon catch is 100 stardust, granted they now have boosters in Star Pieces, weather atributes & events usually can see an increase in SD rewards.

The main take away Is that you need to make a lot of friends & send lots of gifts to raise your Friendship Level so You can trade those that you cannot find or get anymore!

i like the fact that we can trade now, but with the cost of stardust is somewhat a bummer.
The cost for non shiny, non legendary is respectable, the fact that standard 100 stardust for straight trades for pokemon you have already is great cause Its like a gamble for a high CP Pokemon but you still dont lose if you get a garbage CP Pokemon since its 2-4 candies for 100 stardust, even the new Pokedex entry being 20K isn't bad...think about it, 20k stardust vs a flight anywhere to get a pokemon you cant unless you trade with someone who already has lol
hahahaha yeah, i only realized the worth few days after this post. well, i really like the new update though.
