Captain's Log - Ms Ixanaia - Stardate 3304/02/08

The deepths of space seem to start cracking down my psyche. I sat in my cockpit for one hour, listening to the COMMS, hoping to hear the voice of a fellow human being.
But only the void answered.
Therefore I decided to start this logbook as a mean to keep me sane and to provide information on my fate, if this vessel is ever recovered from space after... No I must not think about it.
Ok, here we go, I guess.
This is CMDR Askon Voidborn currently in the NGC 6357 Sector, drifting around the Nebula as part of the White Lightning Expedition, which is heading towards Sagittarius A*. My partner CMDR Cypren Mulari is somewhere out in this sector, but it's been 4 days since our last contact. I haven't lost hope yet, but a part of me is afraid to stumble upon a dead vessel at this point...
Anyway all green on my end. I've plenty of space crackers and water, hull and modules are above 90% integrity. Since there are plenty main sequence stars around here, fuel is no issue.
On the other hand: The view is just amazing, my little camera drone has done some nice shots, I will include here to give a little overview of my progress so far.

My trusty MS Ixania, a Diamond Back Explorer and myself in a SVR SCARAB, enjoying the fresh morning air or at least some refreshing snow before heading of into the black darkness.

May this trip be dangerous and a part of my brain breaking down. It's sight like these, that remind me, why I got into the buisness as an explorer. The NGC 6357 Nebula is the current focus of my efforts searching for my partner and new worlds, that one day might be settled by humans.

My second stop on this expedtition was the Cat's Paw Nebula, which upclose looks more like a giant space cloud monster from outer space. Or maybe it's just my brain playing tricks on me...

Speaking of missing friends. I guess I will clip that photo to my cockpit as a reminder of my partner, should my scanners don't pick up a signal from his vessel in the next few days. I shall honor his contributions and his courage by completing our expedition and tell the tale of this brave man.

Commander Askon Voidborn Out.
