With the fast approaching Fallout 76 right around the corner it got me wondering, when Bethesda returns to the main numbered titles of the franchise where will the next one take place and then I was struck with an awesome idea. I came up with the perfect plot for Fallout 5.
You and your identical twin brother are born pre-war. You both show amazing physical and mental capabilities so you are both brought in as lead candidates for a high security level joint venture project between Vault Tec and the US government.
You and your twin are frozen in cryo suspension but finally you both wake up in a crew rotation because only a certain amount of people are up at a single time in the vault you occupy and it doesn't take long to realize that things here aren't the same as any other vault.
Why? Because it's clean and beautiful and slightly more modern than the world we've always been shown. What's more is the vault is enormous. Like full map enormous so the entirety of the game is played inside.
Eventually you discover the purpose of this vault was never to be an experiment but instead to maintain humanity and observe all the other vaults. A vault command center as it were.
Life there is great but one of the twins can't get over the fact that the other vaults are borderline psychological torture chambers so despite being told the surface will kill them, one twin sets out to escape, starting his plan by waking all the rest of the frozen vault dwellers.
It's at this point that the factions form from within. The "Squatters" and the "Escapists". You make your choice and lead said group(in a sense evil or good). Along the way you discover that in a little under a decade your vault will have the capability to clean the earth once and for all but the escapists don't want to wait to rescue the other vaults dwellers.
The leader of the escapists dawns an environmentally sealed suit to journey out into the wastes but before he can leave a climactic battle erupts between the two factions where one twin dies in the others arms, this may be you or the brother depending on your decision as to which side you chose.
In the end the escapists finally overcome and the ending of the game is them opening the vault door only to decompress the entire vault, killing themselves and everyone else in the process because SURPRISE: the entirety of the game took place on a lunar base designed to reboot the earth after a safe amount of time in the even that emergence day did not go as planned.
Credits roll to close ups of the main cast floating dead through space past the horrified eyes of the escapists leader who is the lone survivor. BOOM Mic drop!
You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:
It should be surprise instead of suprise.
