Middle Earth: Shadow of War Looks Incredible at E3

in #gaming7 years ago

New footage of Middle Earth: Shadow of War was shown off during Microsoft’s E3 press conference, shedding new light on the game’s improved Nemesis system.

The original Middle Earth game, Shadow of Mordor, used the Nemesis system as a way of creating an in-game hierarchy between your enemies. Defeat an enemy and it will leave a space for a new one to fill its place, lose against a lower ranking Orc and it will topple those above it. It was a mechanic that was highly praised upon release.

In the new trailer we can see how much the Nemesis system has been expanded upon, as Talion battles and then recruits Bruz the Chopper. You can watch the video below.

After Talion recruits Bruz, the creature helps him in his next battle by giving him key tactical advice. It’s evidence that Monolith has gone far beyond the expectations that were laid down after its critically acclaimed Shadow of Mordor.

Middle Earth: Shadow of War releases on October 10th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with Xbox One X enhanced capabilities.
