For me graphics do matter, as it is one of the elements that make the game to be a "good game". But it don't have to be realistic all the time, unique graphic style and artwork could makes the game more interesting. I personally like the graphic of BioShock Infinite and Overwatch. You know, something like.. 3d cartoony looks like that. Realistic but in cartoony way, not as realistic as real life. I don't know what it's called, so hard to explain lol

I absolutely get it mate! Games like Overwatch and Borderlands, and the Bioshock series, capture a stylish comic themed look (typically with low polygon character counts) in order to make the game feel and play more like a TV cartoon which I also love.
