Bacterial takeover
After so many years of mobile gaming i finally bumped into a idle game that isn't just money-oriented crap that gets old after 1 day of playing. I already made several reviews on idle games on this channel and all of them turned out horribly so you can tell that im either sponsored or this game really rocks! Im sure after reading this review you will be able to assess the situation yourselve, but if your not blind to facts, you can start downloading because this game is so packed that it has its own wiki!
Story
You begin as a noob scientist with dreams nothing smaller than dominion over the whole galaxy. All you have at your disposal is your bacterial gun and a trustworthy scientist who will help you on your grand journey.
Scaling system (UPGRADES!)
One of the most important things in idle games is without a doubt scaling up along the experience. Most of the games dont get this right because they are so focused on monetary system they forget what gaming is about. Not this one guys, not this one. I have been actively playing this game for 9 days straight now and im not even half done. There is so many things you can get through out the game its crazy. In fact, there is a 'black hole' forming as you progress and destroy more and more planets. I have read on the wiki that after going through, you can get dark matter which unlocks yet another tree full of content.
As you can see there is plenty to unlock and most of it is actualy smart, not just 3 times this and 5 times that.. Upgrade system consists of all these things:
- Colonies: Creating bacteria per second
- Upgrades for colonies
- Gene strands upgrades: More powerful upgrades for everything (You get gene strands for destroying planets)
- Researching new bacteria: You have 3 slots for bacteria with all kinds of effects
5)Planetary research: Your scientist can take samples from currently occupied planet and help you in its destruction
6)Minerals: You can find minerals that give you permanent boost - Research: More about that later
- Dark matter: Not tested, but its supposed to be a skill tree with epic unlocks for end game players
Research
Very cool additional feature is the research tab. Just so the game isnt a simple clicker like the rest, devs introduced scientists. You get one free in the begining and you can get unlimited amount as you progress. They can conduct research which gives you edge in the game. There are 5 different things you can research and you actually have to think about what you need right now, because your always short on your scientists.. Few cool examples are: Sending them on planets to speed up your progress, create and mutate bacteria or create nanobots that kill civilians on planets.
Monetary system
It has 2 parts, one is non forced ads that give you a small boost for a few hours and the other is diamonds that you can buy for your money. You can quickly get additional scientist or a boost with your diamonds but there is alot of ways where you can obtain diamonds for free. For example: watching ads, daily login and the most fun of them all, really cool achievment system. Why i say really cool? because its not just a checklist of things you can do in the game.. Achievments are for things that you dont have to do but are fun, just like it should be.
There are plenty of channels to profit from for devs, but overall i dont get the feeling that this game is oriented on money.
Conclusion
Even though the graphics are not as user friendly as todays goldiggin games, It is still amazing game with tons of content. If you feel the need to buy diamonds go ahead, because it's not a waste.. This game will entertain you for a long time. I honestly encourage to atleast try it out.
