Policenauts was the Kojima project that directly preceded Metal Gear Solid*
*unless you count the trilogy of dating sims he worked on in between
Policenauts is essentially a graphic adventure game with some minigame style action elements. While it was initially released for the NEC PC-9821, a japanese personal computer, the subsequest Playstation and Sega Saturn ports were the definitive versions of the game, adding cinematic cutscenes.
I was lucky enough to score a copy for my collection, for surprisingly cheap. If i remember right this cost me less than $2, purchased from a japanese vendor and shipped to a friend who was living in Japan at the time. It's pretty crazy how cheap a lot of japanese games are used, if you're in Japan.
The artwork is awesome, striking 80's style character designs. Kojima's imaginative world building is present all over the packaging.
The game includes 2 discs, a strange paper disc insert, a manual, and best of all...
I couldn't believe this when I opened it up, the original memory card sticker set, in fantastic condition.
The manual is in full color, with nice glossy pages. Unfortunately I can't read most of it...
Save for a few character names...
and especially one.
Policenauts, like Snatcher, incorporates elements that would later work their way into the main MGS titles, from character concepts to technological creations to musical themes. It's very interesting exploring Kojima's early titles.
This is one of my favorite game collection pieces, and one of the cheapest.
Hope you enjoy this as much as I do, I wish game devs still took pride in their packaging.
I plan to post some more stuff from my collection in the future, including some cool stuff from E3s of the past!

The other day I told you, clearly a new user, not to misuse tags. Simple as that.
You asked how the post was miscategorized, and I explained it thoroughly. Instead of taking the criticism you replied like an asshole, so I downvoted your post. In addition I looked through your blog history, I curated your duplicate and illegal (spam, plagarism, and ripping off videos including removing watermarked intros) content.
In reply, you downvoted some of my legitimate content, namely this post.

This doesn't seem respectable. Seems like petulance. I'll leave my curation, hopefully you can learn from it at some point. Steemit is a place where people work to create content and form a community.
You come in trying to exploit it, ripping off other people's work and trying to scam a dime off it. If everyone treated Steemit like you have been it would be dead already. And when someone calls you out, instead of internalizing it and re evaluating your approach, you start attacking legit content. This is not how it works, as you can see.
By the way, plagarism is illegal, no matter where you do it. Happy trails.
