Zombie Turn after the players made their moves:
The Runner with players 2 and 5 attacks. Rolls 6 for a successful hit. Using a 12-sided dice, the first player number that comes up takes the hit: Rolls are 11,12,7,7,5, so player 5 takes 1 damage.

So if we have only 1 action per turn, how does it work with attacking? If I move in to another person's square, they will always be the one to strike me first because my action is spent but they have one?Or they could just move away, and I'd never be able to actually engage in melee? seems like attacking is at a clear disadvantage! Makes much more sense to just charge to the X asap, but if we all do that we all get there at the same time?
Only if they choose to strike you... and you could move into someone's square later in the day and then attack them when @happyme first posts?
It's funny, I had the exact opposite mind to you... charging in seems the best way to get killed by zombies, so I was thinking a more cautious method... let everyone ahead of me die and then grab the X. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.
Strategy... attack when there is a zombie just killed? Or when THEY move into YOUR space? The one who charges ahead meets all the zombies. Might not be the best solution either. I really don't know how this will all play out. This game is a living experiment. After we play for a bit, I think we shall see if it needs any tweaking.
