Ya, at this point there's really nothing holding anybody back. My brother built his own computer five years ago and it still runs like a dream, handles video games great, and only cost in the range of $500 when he built it!
Consoles make less and less sense these days to me... when will the distinction go away? Or will we always have these arbitrary gaming machines called "consoles"?
