I'm hoping you're here because you're either a huge Pokemon fan in general or want to know more! Well, you've come to the right place. Pokemon Go was released '6 July 2016' unless you was living under a rock you will have heard of this. If not by playing the game itself then from random people climbing into your garden or knocking on your front door asking if they can catch a Pokemon. I'm sure you can imagine it now.. "I've got a what in the garden?! CHARLEEESS get the mop", I digress.

Anyway, this game literally took off so fast! The best part was.. it was and is no ordinary game. It actually got people out of their houses and experience the real world! Neighbours were talking to each other, people were all engaging in a mutually interesting conversation.
I mean look at this.. a 'Pokemon Go' meet up (this is where everyone meets, chats about their pokemon and tries to catch more) in Chicago.

Everyone was so excited about the game it's all I heard about for a few months. Age was just a number! I knew people from 7 years of age to people's parents in their 50s playing it, it was fantastic.
The Game Itself
"Travel between the real world and the virtual world of Pokémon with Pokémon GO for iPhone and Android devices. With Pokémon GO, you’ll discover Pokémon in a whole new world—your own! Pokémon GO is built on Niantic’s Real World Gaming Platform and will use real locations to encourage players to search far and wide in the real world to discover Pokémon. Pokémon GO allows you to find and catch more than a hundred species of Pokémon as you explore your surroundings.
Get on your feet and step outside to find and catch wild Pokémon. Explore cities and towns around where you live and even around the globe to capture as many Pokémon as you can. As you move around, your smartphone will vibrate to let you know you’re near a Pokémon. Once you’ve encountered a Pokémon, take aim on your smartphone’s touch screen and throw a Poké Ball to catch it. Be careful when you try to catch it, or it might run away! Also look for PokéStops located at interesting places, such as public art installations, historical markers, and monuments, where you can collect more Poké Balls and other items."

The game so far:
-Really fun to play, alone and with others.
-You get a ton of excercise :)
-All ages can play it
-Really cheap
-Brings back many fantastic childhood memories
I mean this is just the tip of the ice berg.. then I start getting invited to 'Pokemon' dress up parties. I mean I genuinely thought these wouldn't be that great a bunch of adults standing around in these 'Pokemon' costumes.. but they were actually a lot of fun.
Here's some pictures of some attempts at dressing up as Pokemon (some are really good).

There are 802 Pokemon the last time I checked! I think I must have at least 300 odd.

I've spent a lot of hours playing Pokemon Go, Pokemon cards, my pokedex, pokemon console games.. you name it I have done it. To think Pokemon began in 1996.. and it's still growing! I'm glad it is because I started playing when I was about 10 and it still interests me at nearly 30.
Who remembers this bad boy? the infamous 'pokedex'. Man I spent many hours playing with this, I checked on eBay and they're actually classed as a 'Rare' item now.
