Always ask yourself "can this fight bring us any value*". IF yes - fight, if no - leave. BAM now you know how to play HOTS ;-)
value: guaranteed kill without any friendly deaths, baited ults before objective, big AOE damage on most of the enemy team forcing them B just before objective, Boss kill or steal without wiping there, taking camps in right time* etc.
** right time: just before objective, to create structure killing waves if they have poor wave clear, to force enemy team splits
Hots is very simple game mechanically with rather low skill ceiling
exactly, that's a good way to put it. I'll probably do some video guides that illustrate these basic kinds of tactics, how far macro game alone can carry you and stuff.
I don't fully agree with that one. Yes, it is simple and easy to get into for beginners, but hard to master, depending on the hero you play.
What I like about HotS and what made me switch from DotA, after also trying LoL, is that it's so fast-paced. There are almost no down times. The game isn't unnecessarily prolonged by design. No 30 minutes laning phase before the real action begins. It's just focussing on the fun stuff like team fights mostly (of course, you can't just fight all the time. In fact, you shouldn't, but that's going too deep for now and will be addressed in my videos in the future).
Thanks, @hrom for commenting. Do you play HotS as well? Let's team up and have some fun!
