Galaga is a fixed-shooter video game. It is a continuation of Galaxian, released in 1979, and the second in the eponymous series of games. Subsequently, the game was ported to many home computers and game consoles, as well as repeatedly reprinted as part of the collections of Namco Museum. Several remakes of the game have been released for slot machines and home systems. The game series was continued: Gaplus (1984), Galaga '88 (1988) and Galaga Legions (2008).
