I liked this quote "There are moments and places from WoW that I will never forget. Experiences that will forever taint every other game I play" I feel the same.As it happens I made a World of Warcraft post today also detailing my history with the game.My post is not as well put together as yours but seeing this and reading it all has gave me inspiration for future gaming posts.I have been playing around with private servers, there are servers out there like Kronos 2 which allow you to play the game exactly as it was in 2005 you just need WoW client 1.12 I believe and you can play the vanilla game.The most fun private sever I have played on is Icecrown,I just started a journey to level cap series for that server.Im playing a dwarven paladin.Here is my post if you want to check it out....

Oh that's crazy aboutthe 7x XP thing. That would so cut down the grind to level cap. I think you are probably on a server for the high point in WoW. Wrath of the Lich King was great. Northrend was beautiful and way better for questing than the outlands, and Arthas was such an ever present bad guy in a way no other WoW villains really were. You never really get to forget about him as the whole expansion is so singularly built around destroying him. One of my first characters was a dwarven hunter named MaGruff, he had a friendly pig as a pet I named him Potroast :) I too really enjoy the Dun morogh area as a starting zone but I ended up mostly playing horde characters and their starting areas are all a bit weaker.
Yeah on Icecrown I had hit level 22 and was still using grey items I found in the wendigo cave in Dun Morogh thats how fast I leveled :).I spent time skinning and mining to get gold and now I have a full set of level appropriate gear.Im lv 27 with around 20 hours of total play time but a chunk of that time has been spent skinning mobs that didnt give me exp.I went with the fast exp server so I could cover the game in a timely manner for my youtube channel and not burn out on the grind.The other WOTLK server has no random dungeon finder and 1exp rates .I wish I was hardcore enough for that but for now ill get to level cap on Icecrown and finally see the Arthas fight :)
Thats awesome. I'll definitely be interested in the posts about your quest to Arthas, will be some nice nostalgia.
