Hello Fellow Steemians! :)
Today, i wanna review Dishonored, Happy Reading :)

Who is the figure behind the killer mask that adorns various Dishonored screenshots and trailers over the years? You will act as Corvo Attano, the trusted bodyguard of Jessamine Kaldwin - Queen of Dunwall, a port city that became the main setting in Dishonored. Home from his attempt to find a cure for Rat Plague, a dangerous plague that is now attacking Dunwall, Corvo apparently had to deal with another nightmare that was no less terrible. When reporting the progress of his quest, Corvo actually had to deal with coup attempts against the queen. A bloody battle ensues, and Corvo has to see the Queen's death in front of her own eyes. Not only that, the only daughter - Emily was also kidnapped. The worst part? The plotters of the coup - the Lord Regent had succeeded in making the scene as if Corvo had committed this crime.

Blamed and trapped in uncertainty, the dark adventure of Corvo has just begun. Fortunately, some of the subordinates who knew the truth behind this murder decided to fight back the Lord Regent. A new organization - The Loyalist is formed and makes the pub Hound Pits a base location for their cause. Not only getting support from the loyalists, Corvo also experiences a spiritual journey, meeting The Outsider - a spiritual existence that represents the quality of God and Satan. The tragic lifeline that lurked Corvo drew The Outsider to watch his journey deeper. The Outsider also injects magical ability for Corvo, which allows him to do many things that can not be done by ordinary people. Quest Corvo to seek Emily and avenge the queen begins. Blood was ready to pour and flowing. Not only do you have to deal with Dunwall troops, you also have to deal with The Weeper, a "monster product" produced by Rat Plague.

When first introduced through a series of trailers, and with the big name Bethesda behind it, most gamers will probably come to the conclusion that Dishonored will come with a gameplay element similar to Elder Scrolls or Fallout, using only a different world setting. But when you try it for the first time, this "prejudice" will simply disappear. If it can be paired, Dishonored offers a gameplay that is more akin to Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Open-world is not the right word to describe this one game, considering you will only explore different places depending on the chapter you are currently playing. Hound Pits become the main base before you slide to another place to continue your revenge mission. Not only does it offer optional branches on the side of the story, Dishonored also offers the freedom to determine the style of gameplay and how to complete the mission you want.

Freedom really should be recognized, a charm and key gameplay from Dishonored itself. Something that has been offered from the beginning you play this one game. Position as an Assassin does not necessarily make you have to throw away all the values of morality and humanity that may, you believe. There are so many ways to overcome the threats you will face in Dishonored, especially regarding the enemies that exist. You can kill, or just paralyze and put them to sleep, or even pass them without the need to use the slightest violence. The freedom to choose this action certainly raises the various roles you can perform as an Assassin, from open fighting, focusing on stealth-action, or being a pacifist who loves peace. This action will produce certain consequences that we will discuss later.

Fortunately, Corvo was "not alone" while undergoing his heavy duty of revenge. The magical abilities provided by The Outsider will play a super important role that will make the most of your trip easier. Although it does not offer a massive choice, the quality of each skill is designed to make your adventure easier. Through it, you will not only be able to see through the wall and determine the position of the enemy, you can also blink to move quickly and within long distances, or simply use it to infest the various animals and enemies that exist for certain benefits. You can also stop the total time! The wide range of options and the freedom to choose this skill will help you determine the style of gameplay you want. One for sure, you can always count on it.

The best part of this magical ability is that you are given a chance to strengthen it. A special "currency" named Runes will spread along the existing levels. Runes are needed to unlock new capabilities or to strengthen the strengths you have chosen before. Not only is the Outsider's dependable magical ability, you can also collect a special item called Bone Charm to produce a wide variety of profitable perk effects, from simply adding a portion of the curable health of potion, to increasing swing and running speed. The need to strengthen Corvo, both in terms of magical abilities and perks, will make Runes and Bone Charm searches at every level you meet into some sort of "side job" that is impossible to miss. Not infrequently, this will actually take up more of your time than just completing the main mission.

While from the side of the fight as a normal human, Corvo can be strengthened by a variety of equipment that he uses. Swords and crossbows may be the main equipment you use most often, but Corvo himself equips himself with so many other weapons that are not less brutal. Piero in Hounds Pits will help you upgrade these existing fixtures. Not only that, if you manage to find the right blueprint during the mission, you can leave it to Piero to create a new piece of equipment. You can add glasses to zoom when shooting, or shoes that can make your every move is not heard at all. Piero will be your best friend every time you start a mission.

The set of missions to be completed always comes with a variety of alternative solutions. We are not talking about the freedom to choose the method of execution that you can apply throughout the mission, but rather to the alternative solutions that you can take to complete each mission. You always have the freedom to infiltrate and kill every one of them. But there are always more "humane" alternative methods to choose from. By meeting with the right people during missions or eavesdropping on the usual random conversations between guards, you usually have the opportunity to bring up Non-lethal resolution options. This more civilized method will allow you to get rid of the main target without having to kill them. This will lead to a lower level of Chaos. Chaos? We will discuss it more deeply in the next section.

Not only do you offer freedom, Dishonored also rewards your every action through the various consequences represented by a system called Chaos. Most of you are curious, what's the advantage of choosing a more difficult path as an Assassin who really relies on stealth, or a Pacifist who never wants to kill anyone? What will you get if you choose a more complex path to take the Non-Lethal path to end the lunge of every target that exists instead of killing them for granted? The answer is at the lower level of Chaos. The less clutter you generate, the easier it is to Emily to take the mother's throne and restore order to Dunwall.

The more enemies you kill, the more spilled blood, the higher the level of Chaos you get. More corpses, meaning more rats, which will also make Rat Plague worse. The result? Not only dozens of guards will you meet, you also have to deal with the number of The Weepers that will increase significantly. The brutality you show will be positively correlated with the chaos that you generate on each mission. So what do you get if the path of peace and stealth you choose, to be paid for this patient? Dishonored offers a wide array of endings to end the Corvo story. The lower the Chaos you generate, the better the ending you get. Is this the best ending worth pursuing or not? All of these options are back in your hands. But with the variety of alternative ways, stories, and consequences that he offers, Dishonored seems designed to invite you to play it over and over again, trying out all these different experiences.

Extraordinary, it's probably the right word to represent the performance offered by Dishonored as a whole. For the umpteenth time, Bethesda managed to prove himself as one of the veteran developers/publishers who arguably, rarely disappoint the gamer, even with his new IP though. Dishonored into a masterpiece that comes with a quality that should not be missed. Through the uniqueness of the gameplay and the freedom to define almost any action in it, Dishonored creates an atmosphere of gameplay that makes the role play very maximized. Regardless of your main task that is killing, you still have the freedom to decide what kind of Assassin you want. You can be an open, stealth, or even Pacifist Assassin though. Therefore, you are required not only to be fatal, you also have to think intelligently by determining the path of travel and anyway you can choose to complete each of these missions.

One of the other advantages of Dishonored is its world built with design settings and characters that are so captivating. So whether this game comes without weaknesses? Multiple endings that he offers exactly arguably as a boomerang undermine the foundation of the Dishonored own. With the freedom he offers and the various roles you can choose, it would be much wiser for Arkane and Bethesda to set a much more diverse ending indicator than just looking at the level of chaos that you generate. Why? By using a system like this, Dishonored indirectly encourages and directs you to play with certain players, all to pursue the best ending. It would be much wiser if they provided more diverse indicators, or else generalized all endings. That way, the freedom he offers is almost absolute.

Despite these shortcomings, Dishonored does evolve into a charming game, enough to keep your gaming instincts pumping constantly during play. It would not be surprising if Bethesda is compelled to make this series as a franchise bodyguard that will probably often find in the next few years. One for sure, it would be a pity if you miss this one game.
