Hello Steemians! back again with me @khalilmuza, today I'll review Need for Speed The Run. check it out
The main theme of Need for Speed The Run is a wild race followed by Jack Rourke. Damn fate makes Jack involved in debt that can endanger his life. Why is that? Bright, he was in debt with the mafia! In fact, the beginning of the game begins with Jack tied up in a car that will be crushed in a crusher! Well, from here Need for Speed The Run immediately introduced a unique feature that sets it apart from other racing games. In this game, you will engage in interactive events by pressing the buttons that appear on the game screen! This feature is what you have to play to free Jack from being a car wreck! After you successfully play the interactive event, you will immediately start a very exciting escape!
The main purpose of this game is a race that seemed non-stop from the west coast of the United States, precisely in San Francisco, to the finish line on the east coast of America, namely the city of New York. So, you will race across the American continent for thousands of miles! This race became Jack's last support to get out of debt. The competition is also not playing games. A total of 210 street racers participate in it and you are the 210th rider! So, you have to crawl up to the first place through several cities in America.
Racing in this game is divided into many parts. Usually, every destination city, for example from San Francisco to Las Vegas will require you to be in position 150 to enter into its qualifications. So, if you do not make it to that position, then game over! Fortunately, you do not have to race nonstop on the path along hundreds of kilometers. Because every city has many checkpoints. At each checkpoint, you will be given a goal, such as beating 10 racers before reaching the finish line. Actually almost the same as regular races. However, you will pass through a variety of track conditions, weather, traffic, and no less important; police chase.

The game form from Need for Speed The Run is actually the same as the previous non-simulated Need for Speed series. Car control is made easier when compared to racing simulation. Although the control of the car has a variety of difficulty levels, the speed remains the main focus in this game. Especially with the addition of Nitro Boost feature to make cars dashed quickly, increase levels that can provide various benefits and some types of interesting game modes.
Nitro concept in this game is almost the same as the Need for Speed other. You just need to drive fast, launch near-miss (your car is almost rubbing against another car), drive on the opposite lane, and do drafting (trailing behind the opposing car to "ride" the winding path). All dangerous activities always give bonuses, be it filling Nitro or giving extra value experience. But do not feel comfortable with the presence of the nitro. Because your opponent can also use the same trick!
The value of experience you get when the race will be added and your level will rise when the value reaches a certain amount. The advantages of such level increases include increased driving ability, such as the Nitro increase when driving wildly, the additional experience value when chased by the police, the ability to draft a boost that can determine victory at a critical moment, and of course a new, faster car. Unfortunately, the choice of cars that you can use when playing single player mode is very limited. The reason was very simple; this game is more concerned with online multiplayer mode it! Again the losses that players receive due to the efforts of publishers and developers to combat piracy!
The main advantage for players who play online multiplayer mode is quite a lot. However, the most prominent feature is you will be given the choice of a car that much more! In fact, all the cars you get after defeating the "special enemy" in single player mode can only be used in multiplayer mode! In fact, this game does not provide many options for car customization as is commonly found in other racing games. You can only choose a car that will be used in single player mode racing. That's all you can do when you find a gas station on the track.

Game time in single player mode also includes short. The concept of the race is so linear (from city to city) allows you to complete this game in about 6 to 7 hours! We ourselves completed this game in about five hours. Itupun with our time record much wasted due to a very problematic replay system in this game. In fact, this system can test your patience due to errors that can actually be tolerated in other racing games.
The replay system is a way for Need for Speed The Run to automate error correction in the middle of the race. You can find a replay system by rewinding time up to a certain point in other newer racing games. Unfortunately, Need for Speed The Run does not use the same way. In this game, you will be immediately thrown to the checkpoint point on the track. So, if you make a mistake when you are in the position almost to the next checkpoint point, then you will automatically be automatically thrown to the beginning of the previous point without further ado! Already so, the number of replays in every race is limited and it will affect the acquisition of experience value!
Another problem that this replay system has is it's not the smart judgment. When you are stuck in a race due to a wrecked car hit by a truck in the opposite direction, then it is natural. However, this system assumes you are not eligible to continue the race when out of the asphalt for a few seconds! Not only that, you will also be thrown back to the beginning of the checkpoint when out of the path specified in the minimap. For example, we once replayed when using the opposite lane on the highway. The reason is simple, the streets are not on the track listed in minimap! This never happened before in any racing game! If the path is unusable, usually the game developer will close it with an obstacle or a gap.

Need for Speed The Run is the realization of the use of Frostbyte 2 engine beyond the action game First Person Shooter. Do you know this engine? The name of Battlefield 3 is certainly no stranger to your ears, right? Yes, the Frostbyte 2 engine is the prime mover behind the beauty of the Battlefield 3 game environment. It may be said Need for Speed The Run is Battlefield 3 which is a racing game! All the advantages of this engine are clearly visible in Need for Speed The Run! Starting from the detail of the environment to the amazing light effects typical of Battlefield 3! Fortunately, The Run does not ask for the same computer resource as Battlefield 3.
The advantages of this engine in describing humans are also clearly visible in The Run. All the cutscene used in this game is not a pre-rendered scene! All are in-game scenes and admittedly the quality is so high! Do you have to start thinking of upgrading computer specifications?
However, this game is also not out of trouble on the technical side. Apparently, this game is only able to produce frame rate maximum 30 fps only! Whatever you do, whether it changes the graphics settings to the lowest to replace the computer with a supercomputer though, the frame rate remains unchanged. This will certainly make gamers who are very concerned and sensitive to the graphics frame rate protests loudly! Believe me, such harsh protests are happening all over the world as you read this review. Hopefully, the game developers will issue a patch to fix it. Therefore, playing racing games under 60 fps will make your eyes tired and make computers with high ability becomes redundant.

Amazing game , should try it, thanks for reviewing this game :)
