What do i need to play DotA 2?

That is the main question of individuals that are interested in learning how to
play DotA 2 or ever out of curiosity on why a lot of people are getting
more and more attached to playing this game, some would even spend money
on items that would only improve the hero avatar and interface to make
it look cooler. Well that's enough to spark the DotA gamer inside of you
to tryout the game and climb up the ranking Leaderboards and compete
with professionals who game for a living.

You will need 3 essential things to be able to run and play the game;

If you would play on a local internet cyber cafe you could skip reading this and go directly to step 2.

1. Get a computer.

Now don't get intimidated by the picture itself that's just for reference. Your computer or laptop needs to have the minimum specifications for a computer or better.

Dota 2 Minimum Specifications
  • processor: Dual core from Intel or AMD at 2.8 GHz.
  • RAM/memory: 4gb
  • GPU/videocard: nVidia GeForce 8600/9600GT, ATI/AMD Radeon HD2600/3600.
DirectX: Version 9.0c(html comment removed: more)
  • Network: Broadband Internet Connection.
  • Storage: 8 GB available space
  • Sound card: DirectX Compatible
  • OS: Windows 7

2.Install the Game.

You would first need to download the steam entertainment platform. After downloading run the setup and install the program into your computer.Create/Sign-up for a new account in steam or if you have an existing steam account then log-in. Now that's done you will need to download the DotA 2 application from steam. Take note that you would need to have atleast 8GB available space in your storage device so the downloading of DotA 2 would probably be 8GB or higher.

3. Play the game.

OKAY, play the game is pretty plain. But that's all there is too it. I mean go take the tutorial, it would basically teach you the basic mechanics of the game. It is basic to differentiate enemies from team mates and heroes from creeps. Main rule is survive and win the game, kill or help your allies kill an enemy hero and destroy the ancient. There are a lot of factors that you would be able to understand and improve overtime and you may have some questions on how to become better and some would even rush, well that's good that's one of the main reasons why is set-up my blog. But if you quit after a few games because you lost badly or can quite catch the gameplay. You haven't played the game yet, by definition you need to enjoy or have pleasure on your activity to be able to say that you are playing. DONT GIVE-UP every one started from the bottom like you. You can watch your games, research some moves and tips for your favorite hero and try it out. Who knows you might win a TI championship someday.

what the... dota2 is too hard to play for newbs

i recomend them to play lol. lol!

It depends on the effort you put into learning the game though, I started with DotA when it was still just a map on Warcraft III: Frozen Throne and I loved it immediately and took atleast 1 week to learn the game. It is now one of my all time favorite games
