A new year means it's time for a new Nintendo Direct. The rumors speak of a Nintendo Direct on January 11 and we can hardly wait to see what will come out of that. To make everyone more enthusiastic, we discuss our Nintendo Direct expectations here.
Maybe 2018 is just starting, but we would like to open the year well and a Nintendo Direct is perfect for that! There are a lot of games still in the making for the Nintendo Switch and 2018 is a good year to spend some of these games. We will discuss the seven titles that we would like to see in the next Nintendo Direct.
7. Bayonetta 3
One of the announcements of 2017 that nobody saw coming was that for Bayonetta 3. Suddenly there was a teaser during the Game Awards 2017, but we did not get much information. A new Nintendo Direct is a perfect time to tell us more about Bayonetta 3. The first two parts of this series are coming to the Switch in February, so do not let us wait too long, Nintendo!
6. Fire Emblem Switch
Last year Fire Emblem Warriors came to the Switch, but this year a completely new Fire Emblem game is coming to Nintendo's new system! This is special, because it is the first Fire Emblem game since Radiant Dawn from 2008 to come to a console. We expect a lot from this new Fire Emblem game, even though we have seen very little so far.
5. Pokémon Switch
During the E3 of 2017, Nintendo held a major Nintendo Direct that announced that a Pokémon game is on its way to the Switch! Meanwhile, quite a few rumors have surfaced about this game, including that the game would play out in a region based on Spain and that Z-Moves should be performed via motion controls, but we do not know anything yet. And since Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are the latest Pokémon games for the 3Ds, we actually want to see more of this new game.
4. Metroid Prime 4
Another game that was announced during the E3 of 2017 is Metroid Prime 4. We saw a logo and that the game is made for the Nintendo Switch and that was it. That is absolutely not enough and we would like to see something new from Metroid Prime 4. Metroid Prime 3 was released ten years ago so it's time for a new game with Samus in the lead.
3. Yoshi Switch
Yoshi also gets a game for the Switch this year and this one is also during the E3. We would really like to see more of Yoshi's cardboard box and a release date would be really great. That is why we add this game to our list of Nintendo Direct expectations.
2. Kirby Star Allies
Kirby's game for the Nintendo Switch is coming out in the spring of this year, but we do not know the exact release date of the game yet! We know that Kirby can collect enemies in this game and build a team. We also know that this Kirby game can be played with up to four people. We would like to see some more of Kirby, for example, more gameplay would be great.
1. Animal Crossing Switch
There is no Animal Crossing game yet announced for the Nintendo Switch, but we know that many fans look forward to it. With every game that comes out for the Switch fans of the series get more in Animal Crossing for the Switch and Pocket Camp can not keep us busy for centuries. The Switch has so many possibilities, so the possibility for a good Animal Crossing game is definitely there!
Which Nintendo Direct expectations do you have?
Now that we have discussed our expectations, we are actually curious about what you want to see. Have we mentioned everything, or have we completely forgotten a game? Let us hear in the comments you hope for in the new Nintendo Direct.
