Hello and please to meet you. I'm Mickapew. Originally born in the UK, now living in Japan (It's awesome here!). I'm ** years old, I love wasabi, and more often than not I use my break times to play crypto games online.
Since an early age, my life has revolved around gaming. I was fascinated by how games went from a concept to a finished digital world full of lore, action, adventure, and awesome characters. So years ago I started to learn how games were made. I've tried coding but unfortunately, my brain shuts down when I try learning zeros and ones... I tried being a game tester, it sounds great, however, playing the same part of a game over, and over, AND OVER!! Well, let's just say it's not that fun for me. All that was left was to study game art. And years of trial and error (self-taught), I managed to get pretty good.

I've been a freelance game artist for years. I worked on smaller flash game projects, then the mobile gaming scene exploded and I help make art for many mobile game projects, then I did some browser games. Currently, I am employed at The Sandbox game as a creative team artist. I make voxel models for the metaverse.
I started to meet a lot of potential clients through Sandbox, thanks to Sandbox! So now I get hired making voxel models, some with animations, some without for people who have voxel game projects.
Recently, with the boom of NFTs, I'm getting people asking me to make voxel assets that will get minted and turned into NFTs (pretty sweet!).
A game concept I would love to make someday.
So that's a bit of info about me but why am I making a blog on here? Good question!
I've been planning to make 2 games for some time now. 1 game will be a browser game for PC and it's a large project, the second game is a play-to-earn game. Now I can do the artwork and animation but I can't code, actually the amount of artwork that goes into a large game project is eye-opening to most people. So I'm trying to find ways I can raise some extra cash, this will be used to hire talented people to help me create my games.
