Rada Quest is a game being developed right here on Steem Blockchain. And if you have seen the game art being posted it definitely has a lot of promise. I took some time to speak with Marcosdk about the game and investing in it.

Marcos your artwork is beautiful, you have been using the sales of these to help fund the game Rada Quest. How are sales going?

Thank you. I have always ensured that the quality and creativity of the illustrations should be one of the identity labels of the project. Unfortunately, artwork sales are not going well. Honestly there are no sales. We may have to wait for the game to launch and really start adding a fandom willing to identify with the project. The important thing is that everything is ready for when that time comes. And the web is preparing with all the material available to date.

You could have chosen other blockchains like Tron or Etherium , but you chose Steem. Can you tell us why?

I have certainly studied the use of other chains. Mainly Ethereum. Being honest, I must recognize that as this is my first major project on a chain, I need an agile, fast and cheap environment, and Steem complies with it. Depending on the acceptance of the project among Steem users, especially the large accounts, without which no project can thrive in a small chain like Steem, I will see if in future projects I stay or not.

You are also selling Turuk tokens to help fund your games development. Why should people invest in Turuk besides to help fund development of the game?

I created the TARUK token in part to fund the project, but not only for that. Fortunately for me, I don't really need a few hundred dollars to start the project; I can wait to launch the game in a few months and start recovering the investment then. Steem's collaborative spirit inspired me to develop more than just crowdfunding. I want people to feel part of the project; I would like they to get involved. There is a feeling among Steem users that this is "our" chain. We feel very responsible for the quality of our publications on Steemit and ensure the proper use by other users. So, why not let users be part of the projects developed here? Buying TARUK tokens makes you a shareholder of this small business. The success of the project will be the success of all. In addition, when the game is released you will receive gifts in proportion to the investment made...

Investing is a risky business at best , I myself have been burned before. Some people have been selling Turuk cheap on SteemEngine . Do you feel this is due to them getting excited too early and not looking long term?

Leaving aside people who speculate on any type of token, regardless of their origin or meaning, we have seen a small group of users who have been selling their precious TARUK tokens at very low prices. The first weeks of token launch were spectacular. Success exceeded all my expectations. And equally spectacular rewards were distributed among the new investors. But this is a medium term investment; there is a long way to go until the development of the game allows us to launch it. And after euphoria comes calm and waiting. This is the part that some were not prepared for. They did not understand that the objective of buying shares is in the benefits of the game ... when it is released and sales begin. The objective was not to distribute benefits from the sale of tokens; that can't last long. That is why I recommend that no more money be invested in TARUK than you can have frozen for a few months, since the benefits will take time to arrive. Meanwhile I try to compensate in some way, with some vote, giving away illustrations to the biggest investors, a boosted discord with music 24 hours, giving away games with TARUK packs for sale from the official website, etc.

Returning to the previous topic, how I would like users to get involved with the project, I must also recognize that I have failed there. I started this project alone. I have to take care of creating the illustrations for the cards (I need about 400 to start playing) and I have to develop the whole game code. Gradually some people have joined to help; Axeman and Xerllig with illustrations, Wiriwiri and Arkmy in the Discord, but the project needs publicity and marketing to get afloat. What happens to investors?

I think many investors have not yet understood that this is not MY business. Now this is OUR business. If I win, they win. So why don't they do something to help the project? When @radaquest hangs a post on Steemit, what does it cost to comment, vote and share? Who does not do something as simple as that can not complain that the project has no visibility. I do everything I can, but I am not a god of Rada.

Can you offer us an overview into what you have developed so far ? Also do you have a an expected launch date yet or is it still to early to say?

During the last 2 or 3 months, most of my efforts have focused more on the client/server system than on the game mechanics themselves. I think I have the call structure under control and I have already made some interesting progress. During these days I will upload a new version of the Alpha for beta testers to play with it. They will be able to produce the basic resources of the game, food, wood and stone, and they will be able to improve the buildings as they obtain the resources. It is not much, but for me it has been an important step.
Regarding a release date it is still too early to speculate on that.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I want to thank everyone who is supporting this project. And above all I want to thank the patience they are demonstrating while they wait, but I want to remind them that in the meantime, they can help with actions as simple as voting, commenting and sharing the publications. This is a win-win project.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions Marcos. If you like what Marcos had to say why not take a look at Rada Quest. And don’t forget to upvote and share his post if you like them.

At the moment there is only a handful of games here on Steem Blockchain and I feel it is important to help support upcoming projects like Rada Quest so that more gaming developers look at Steem to launch their games.

I hope this post gains some attention to the game. From everything I’ve seen and read it will be very popular once launched .

For the moment we just need to be patient so @marcosdk and his team can work their magic .
