This is going to be a probably, bi-weekly recommendation for games on pc. I'll do a simple overview, a pro's and con's and then a score.
First up is one of my favourites, the fourth installment in the dominions series. A turn based grand strategy, fantasy game where you create a pretender God and take over the world.
Filled with horrors from alternate dimensions, skeletons, demon samurai and bat people. There's a huge variety of races, each with a unique playstyle.
Now the essentials of the game are fairly easy to learn, make a custom god, take over the world and eliminate all the other pretenders. It takes a while to learn all the ins and outs but it has a tonne of replayability thanks to how much content it has.
Pros:
- Huge amount of content, massive roster of races and God forms
- Unique setting with a lot of original ideas. I mean bat people is pretty cool
- Oddly good soundtrack (
- Low hardware requirements for those without beastly computers. Seriously you could probably run this on a toaster
- Fairly Easy to grasp once you understand the concept

Cons:
- Unintuitive controls and UI. The game uses a right click to deselect function on map which is just annoying at first. Also very little explanation in game of how things work
*overwhelming amount of content at times. Some of the factions are a lot harder than others, as well as how different they function. - Multiplayer requires you to either play the game over email (Lmao) or a run two clients to host a server and connect via ip. This can be frustrating when trying to organise games with friends.
Overall
The game is definitely worth getting if you're a fan of strategy. Especially civilisation, total war or anything by paradox like hearts of iron. It's even on sale on steam at the moment.
I'd rate it a solid 8/10 would release eldritch horrors on the world.
Pick up the game here on steam

Or you can find it on desura if that's your thing.
