Command & Conguer Red Alert and Tiberium games are very similar in design. Cloned games in different setting, different alternative universe, art style, units, but the same game mechanics, base building and resource gathering. That being said all of C&C games are helluva lot of fun if you like RTS games. In Red Alert series focus is more on low tech modern units, while Tiberum had more SF approach to unit design. Red Alert games took the cold war and made it real, it is global war between Soviet and Alies, and in some more recent sequels we had some new factions to spice things up. Here are all Red Alert games.
C&C Red Alert
Red Alert set the stage for the global conflict between Soviets and Alies. Great start of the series that got two expansions Counterstrike and the Aftermath. War was never so much fun as it was in this game, a TRUE RTS juggernaut that satisfied millions of gamers all over the world. Let's keep it epic, this game deserves it.
C&C Red Alert 2
Hype was real, time when sequels started going strong and this one was absolutely worth of our time. Better graphics, more diverse units, they added more depth to the story where Soviets invaded USA. Game also introduced sub factions with different units. Everything was better in Red Alert 2.
Yuri's Revenge
Expansion introduced another story line with Yuri, Russian telepatic bad guy who can time travel. Whole new faction was added and suffice it to say, I had great fun with this one.
C&C Red Alert 3
Story in Red Alert 3 went complicated again because timeline got changed and new faction came to power, Empire of the Rising Sun, and world domination became the goal of everyone again. This time we had 3 diverse factions and Naval bases, yeah, you could build a base on the water and have attack dolphins and mega squids that could sink ships. Empire of the Sun had laser technology and mecha robots. Time traveling games get to this stage of weirdness.
Uprising
Expansion with more units and story revolved around Yuriko, super powered girl that could solo destroy armies. And with that Red Alert games came to a stop, One day in the future Red Alert 4 perhaps?
my favorite games of 2007
mine too. do they have it on android phones?
