It goes like this on steemit, in early days when we were all new on this platform there was way less competition and price was around 10 cents, so it was easier to get noticed, specially if only few of us made gaming blogs. Price went up 10-20x and everyone made quite a lot of profit, now the next step is more growth, and what ever you made in these few months will be worth 10x more (if steemit continues to grow).
English is not even my main language, and I managed to scoop up a lot of steem by being active in community and I managed to compress my 25 years of gaming experience into blogs written in not so perfect english, but as always first comers get the most out of new platforms like this. Now there are many more gaming bloggers and reward pool for everyone is smaller.
I still manage to get some support (wich as always I'm forever grateful) by staying fateful to steemit and by holding my steempower which I use to support other gaming bloggers and lots of old and new friends. But as I said there are many more people now and it takes time for me to notice new and quality bloggers.
I don't participate in curie or any curation trails, even though I could. I'm just one dude with limited attention span, after all I have to play those GAIMZ! :)
So have no fear, continue being great, you will get noticed by me or any other dolphin and whale sooner or later. And know this, there was never an easy money to be made, it always required some effort, these days even more. We can only imagine how things will look like after one million daily users.
Also I want to mention that steemit is not only about one particular area, you can explore other topics and find so many interesting blogs out there about life, finance, art, in short everything, the potential is limitless. Keep it up and have faith in Steemit, after all we are still in beta, and as we gamers all know beta is just the beginning!
It is always about putting in the hard work, getting your content out there and just generally enjoying Steemit with the rest of the community! I never once stopped thinking about how you need to put in the work to get the bonus incentive of rewards like higher up votes etc.
Don't stop gaming, keep gaming too much, don't listen to people saying you should cut back. :)
Precisely, gaming is a reward in itself, with steemit it just makes it so much better. I just write, and what ever comes comes, I rarely get frustrated with the rewards, I had lots of 0 payouts, hudreds at one point. Everything can happen here. RNGJESUS :)
WhaleRNG needs nerf for some people. #FairRNG. :)
Nah it is great just being able to blog about games and share that game play with others, show them your enjoyment of it.
GREAT !!! @moon32walker , im appreciated and i newbie for gaming blog :)
You are doing great, keep up with the good work.
thanks @moon32walker , i hope we can grow up tag #gaming
RESTEEM FOR ALL GAMERS KNOW !!
That's what I do... Though I noticed that most of the game reviews I do are for older games and most of them are for Visual Novels (I even have 2 VNs in my to-review-list)...
Well, since VN gamers are natural readers then I'm sure one day when steemit have many of them, they'll read my posts.
One day this will be huge, we are now only at the small fraction of possible future audience. Every gaming subculture will have it's own. It is a long game, might take months, years to get there but we will.
I love this part...
Every niche will have a gaming-trail dedicated to it!! A bright future to look forward to.
You're one of the regular gaming bloggers I follow and I'm happy you're still going strong here!
I haven't shared a lot of gaming blogs lately. Should definitely write something up about HoMM4, but I've been slacking :D
You also came a long way since you started here, I'm very proud of your achievements here. HoMM4, some hate it, some love it, I liked it. Looking forward for your post about the game.
Yeah, most seem to find it one of the lesser HoMM games, but I never really got into any of the others. I enjoy HoMM4 the best :-)
I would rate HoMM 4 above 6 and 7 and beneath 2,3, and 5. I played most of them :)
Great post, buddy!
I also sometimes blog about gaming! :-)
Tnx.
Perseverance and dedication to the most fundamental things to grow and progress. I am very bad in English, but I am trying to improve.
PD: Thanks for all the support you have given me in my post.
It is what we do here :)
You are definitely right sir @moon32walker
Saying hello and thanking you for your support throughout the time I have been blogging about gaming. :)
I've gone from being a tiny minnow to one fifth of the way to dolphin in about half a year.
The best content on gaming is yet to come on this platform!
When you have a similar taste in games like I do, which is the best taste haha it won't take long until you reach the next step in steemit evolution. The dolphinhood :P
I just went through your blog now @moon32walker and i saw you're doing really good there..thanks for sharing this
Every day i devote at least one hour to steem and i'm looking to upvote newcomers especially on #gaming :)
You have been supportive @free999rnigma
Us gamers must stick together, and your channel is one of the best. As steemit gaming army we can make some real positive changes in the future for anyone participating.
and i have in plan next year to promote steem more through my yt channel :)
Am here to support @free999enigma

Thanks for your support from a humble game minnow @tfame3865 @moon32walker
Young gamer ha :) You have so many classics to try out then.
Sure am still exploring alot and will surely try develop more as you guys keep teaching us on what to do if we got it wrong @moon32walker
Very encouraging words there :) You're English Is great by the way. I always say do what you love and the rewards will come later on down the line. I love doing this and If nothing ever comes from It then Ill still be happy since Its what I love :D
It is kinda difficult when your thoughts come in different language and you have to translate it and make it sound good. It is a work in progress i guess. Interestingly enough I've learned english by playing games :)
Thats fantastic, gaming Is educational lol.
I can imagine It's difficult, I can only speak English so I praise anyone that can speak more :D
Fala prijatelju :) Meaning thanks pal in Croatian :)
That's great pal :)
Well, I am powering down, slowly, it's on and off. I just came to realize it was not a great place to invest money into. Putting in time is. But this place is still too much a game of favourites and vote buying. Many of my favourite connections lost interest in my post and voting for me, which fair enough but I felt left out of party. I in turn lost interest in them and decided to focus on other avenues. Steemit has such a bad rep in many Crypto and blogging circles they had to change the awesome logo and try to rebrand. They failed to change the top users habits and the brand has still not gained traction.
I still post and read some of my fav's such as yourself, not as often. I used to wake up and first thing i did was load up steem. I wrote a post a day, sometimes twice if i was inspired. I'm glad i saw this coming in the summer and powered down and sold a lot before it dropped below 1.50.
I'm banking on the Steemit competitor coming in soon. Bought tons of it with Steem earning. I just need a new on new platform that hopefully will function differently.
I did love here. I still love many authors I just don't have the time that I had had back then.
I do like the new people that comment on my posts and i do my best to give back the love when Iog in. I just really miss my old friends.
I have no regrets powering down. lol I'm mostly here to use the platform as a blog to share my life with my friends and family overseas. Rewards or not, I like they e-mail me comments or comment when I post them on Facebook.
I do hope Steemit's future is as bright as people have been saying it will be for the past 6 month as the value dropped to average a buck.
The first logo was way better. lol
Glad you still doing well man. Hope all is well with you in all aspects of your life.
I always look at steemit as something with huge potential. On this network anything goes, you can one day be massively successful and some other day fail miserably. I always had that in mind and never allowed myself to get frustrated and always look at the long run. The noise today will be forgotten tomorrow. Steem is also not ready for big audiences, not even close, that's why the price stagnates, after hard fork 20 and SMT launch just watch. It would be sad to see all this work for us as bloggers go to waste, it is also perfectly fine to take a break and return later, and sell if you must. Logo is not important, you get used to it, and trust me no newcomer will say shieeet what a shitty looking logo, they will see only $$$$$ :)
The power players here alienated too many clever people, devs, crypto whales and investors. It will take time. Would be nice tough. I dedicated countless hours here and no regrets for that, I made friends and learned a lot about so many different topics. But the next platforms will sink this place unless the power players change their habit. So many flaws in this system aside from the HF's the dev's are working to make steemit work for them. What they do for the user is too superficial it won't pass the muster. I
nice man @moon32walker, im newbie for gaming blog man. teach me pls
1st step for bigger audiences is improving your english skills. Write about more games, not just one, when you write about only one game you can't reach more people. After that sky is the limit, and good luck :)
thanks for your advice, I will improve my English grammar, and I will write about other games
@moon32walker.
GREAT !!! @moon32walker , im appreciated
You're right! Your experience is definitely valuable even if your rewards are lower! I’m wondering if you or your audience is familiar with Unity Game Engine and Development Platform. If so, from a Gaming Perspective, how would you use Crypto Currency in the Unity Game Engine?
I also make a post game, if there is still less, please advice
