Hello everybody!
It's time for the first "Major" update for the Steam version.
True Pause has been added and it works for what I have tested perfectly fine.
It's not destroying the other clocks in game and it works with Steam controller integration so that when you unplug the controller the game pauses itself(this was a requirement on Steam side to have full controller support highlighted).
This is a first step towards the integration of a Save system as @felipejoys pointed out. Now I know I can freeze the game and start it up again the next step is to take a look on how to store these "screenshots".
Patch Notes
Major Changes
- Added Pause
- Better Controller Support
Gameplay changes
- Stones, crates and movable object reworked so the player cannot get stuck
- Added a new kind of scrolling ladder
- Map tweaks and routes
Graphical changes
- Added new sprites to the tilemap
- new plants added
Bugfixes
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash if the player died while the Jelly was shooting
- Cleaned the instances for better performance
- Removed the feather sprite from the cursor
This is my first Patch Notes and I think I missed something but it was a cool thing to do had fun.
The way the stones and crates work now should be devoid of soft locks but they still work in the same weird way as before. It could be fixed easely but some of the gameplay and areas should be changed also so for now I'll leave them with their fast push and turn around until some players get annoyed by it or find some emergent stuff from it!
There are some more map changes and decoration updates around the map but I'll leave those to be explored!
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
dude you gotta post this into the GAMEDEV community man! i applied for OCD curation so we will be able to nominate posts for OCD upvote. we need to increase engagement to that community and add comments to the people who are posting there!
