Two Highly Promising Alpha Stage Block Chain Games.

Today I'm going to be covering a couple new pre-alpha/alpha NFT games I've been playing that are already showing a great deal of progress. The space is blowing up at the moment, and the distance block chain gaming has travelled since the old days of high lo dice games is just astounding. So without further adieu - let's jump in and have a look at two games that could have a lot of promise in the future.

Blankos

This game is one that is sure to make waves in the coming year. Fans of skill based MMORPG style games, but who also like things like Mario Cart and other Wii style games, will almost immediately fall in love with the world of Blankos. The studio behind it have worked on huge projects, and this is reflected in the smooth game play and immaculate attention to detail you find in the Blankos world. The dev team have been involved in huge projects like World of Warcraft, and the game already has major fashion designers like Burberry involved in their NFT designs.

The main selling point for me will always be entertainment. It's the point of gaming as far as I'm concerned, though I do want to be paid for my time if at all possible. In the game you start out with a Blanko, and a slow introduction to the world to familiarize yourself with the characters functions. After that you are free to join "block party's" which basically are challenges with other players from all around the world. The game has a sizeable discord community, but you can also talk to other players in game via chat on the screen which is cool.

There is a fully functioning market place accessible via the Blankos website, even though the game is in alpha. Although it is free to play, and you can technically build and craft an NFT (your Blanko) through hours of game play, it's best to just spend a few bucks and buy in. The pricing isn't prohibitive at all, and the potential for these items is massive. The way you build your Blanko is through completing challenges, levelling up, mashing him up (combining him with other characters. Think card combining), then adding various items to him. There are limited release items which you can purchase with earned in game currency or pay for yourself. Over time, your Blanko becomes uniquely yours, and above all you own him. Sell him, keep him, turn him into any number of combinations of colours or shades with any number of combined talents. It's your token, so do what ya like. I've been buying the limited releases up aggressively as I go along, as I believe this could be a huge game in the future.

The main selling point here is there are no bots. None. Every player you engage with is really a human. The options are there to add friends, work in teams, or carry out a grudge in game against an annoying player if you are so inclined. I've won challenges by teaming up and knocking out a stronger player with people from all over the world, so we can all reap the benefits of the challenges. It's these social aspects to the game that add to the appeal.

To play you will need a decent system as the game is in alpha. A good mouse will help as well. At the moment I play Blankos on my HP Omen laptop and it handles it well, but if you have a desktop with decent specs it should handle the load easily. Just go to the Blankos site, create an account, download the launcher, and join the party! Below is the trailer for you guys to take a look at.

Hodl Gods

Hodl Gods is in it's pre alpha at the moment, but man is it tough. Fun... but tough. Fans of Assassins Creed and games like it will love this one. This game already has a great block chain devoted discord community behind it, as well as some seriously attentive developers. Unlike the Blankos game they do not have a massive war chest of funds, or the big names. Despite this, they still are showing a great deal of promise with the game and its goals long term.

So far in the pre-alpha you can only play in arena matches. I have found these challenging but fun. I'm 40 years old so playing against these damn kids who have been gaming their whole life is a stretch to say the least. However I have stacked up a fair amount of kills as well as wins. When you play the game you can win raffle tickets for free NFT's on Waxx if you find or take an item from another player, and manage to be the last man standing. Again buckle up if you play this one as it's tough. Tough but fun.

The team behind it are also offering a pay to stream for players on Youtube or Twitch, which is something I just can't get into as it doesn't interest me, but the potential is there for others who like this aspect. However as a stand alone for fun play with a chance to earn raffle tickets it's an A star game. The graphics will get better as they go along, but already it's preforming admirably. Above all it's free to play. A huge selling point.

If you want to play the game head to the Hodl God website and download their launcher after account creation. You can play with or without a Waxx wallet at the moment, as it's up to the player to link their wallet. I'd advise doing this as it allows you to earn raffle for free NFT's. The game will require a decent mouse, and decent spec computer. It doesn't have to be an amazing rig, but I wouldn't advise trying to play on an old 2009 laptop. A mouse is a must here though, as you aren't really going anywhere in the game without it. So it's not a laptop by itself game.

Well guys that's it for now. Just a quick post about two bot free games that I think could hold promise and that are fun to play. Out of the two I think Blankos will be the barn stormer as it's got the most backing, smoothest graphics, most elegant concept, etc. But you be the judge after a play with it. If anyone from Hive does play always feel free to give me a shout if you want to team up in the Blankos metaverse. Could be fun to get a Hive contingent on there. Would also be cool to get a Team UK group going. Well, if you made it this far thanks for reading. As always looking forward to all you folks amazing posts and projects. :)

Old fart can't keep up with the kids.... Story of our lives.

So how are you going you old fart. Good to see you exploring the less seedy parts of the web. 😉

Well of course I've dialled back the less seedy browsing! After all you quit posting PK so there's no material . Lol. In all reality I do occasionally view seedy content... I mean real dirty stuff. The queens speech, the BBC, Sky News. I know I shouldn't and it's dirty/contaminates the soul but I can't help it. Don't worry though I'm gettin help. ;) Things are good my end. I see you must be a SL millionaire now. Lol. Turns out the game was eventually worth something in the end I guess. How are you keeping matey? How's the health? I was wondering the other day how you were getting on in fact. We gotta do a catch up in discord at some point. I tend to stay out of there as it seems to cause a lot of stress for folks, but there are a few people I like on the chain that are just good to shoot the shit with and you're one of them. I've gotta new discord ID so drop me a link at some point so I know how to find ya.

Hmmm...BBC - is that just a witty pun of yours, or is that for real😆

BBC are definitely dirty as hell, as well as the rest of the aforementioned in your list there.

Yeah, SL just suddenly exploded like many other blockchain projects have this bull cycle. It's crazy really, and it feels surreal tbh as it felt like it came out of nowhere. Lets see how it evolves from here...All I can say is us early guys who hung on, got real lucky to be here early and it has paid of thus far. Cards have skyrocketed as well as the game economy. I really wish you sold me a few more of those cards you dumped lmao. I will hunt you down Sir...

Jokes aside, Crypto is just getting bigger and bigger now in general, so wherever you park your money in the short term there is money to be made - well maybe not wherever, but not far off.

Health is all over the place, and will probably be like that well into the future. It's a constant struggle.

I guess the moral of the story is hang on tight, and enjoy the ride. Sometimes that really is the best and simplest strategy, rather than trying to be a master trader - that can definitely burn people a lot more that the simple way.

I know you have dome well for yourself out of it, and I'm glad you did - great to hear from you and read a post of yours! I wish you luck with those other games you list here, which I have heard of and are likely to gain a large amount of users.

P.S. If you don't already know him, this is an interesting youtube channel that I follow that specialises in the blockchain gaming arena. Nothing fancy or hype about it, which I like. Also has a podcast too.

All the best, and see you soon:)
