- Ride the supply drop balloon
Supply drops are an easy opportunity to bag free kills.
When players spot them falling, they get loot hungry and rush towards the landing spot.
All you need to do is head somewhere high up and build over the balloon – then hop right onto it.
Then descend onto your unwitting foe, and slaughter them without a peep.
- See through walls Fortnite
When you're building in Fortnite, walls become transparent.
You can exploit this to get a leg up over your enemies.
For instance, throw down a wall and head into edit mode, and you'll be able to see straight through it.
Alternatively, if your enemy is hiding behind a wall they've built, dive into edit mode and catch them off-guard.
- Find the hidden loot room
Everyone likes treasure, and there's a secret room with loads of it in Fortnite.
All you need to do is head over to the Tomato Tunnel.
If you scour the area, you'll find a hidden room behind a car.
Inside is a major loot opportunity with several golden chests – so get hunting!
- Reach the ground faster
The quickest way to hit the ground is to change your body to a near-vertical position.
You should also trying jumping off the battle bus as soon as possible.
But eventually you'll get low enough that your glider is forced open, and you have to glide slowly to safety.
However, gliders don't open over water in Fortnite, so you can use this to get lower to the ground.
Then once you're nearly ready to land, hit the glider button and desperately try to hit land. It'll take a bit of practice but it's a sure-fire way of landing on the ground faster than your foes.
- Slide without losing health
Getting to high places in Fortnite is really easy.
But getting down safely can be tricky.
If you don't want to lose any health when sliding down a mountain, you'll need to learn to counter-strafe.
That means moving in the opposite direction you're sliding.
So if you're sliding down facing left, move to the right and you'll stay glued to the mountain.
- Watch TV (and get a scare)
You're already probably playing Fortnite on a TV – but you can also watch TV in Fortnite.
There are televisions in various locations around Fortnite, typically in homes.
All you need to do is walk up to it and press the interact button.
But be warned, you might get a scare – prepare for a ghostly face and some static.
- Fire hydrants are WILD
There aren't any fires in Fortnite, but there are still fire hydrants.
And savvy players will be able to use them to their advantage.
If you shoot off the top of a fire hydrant, it'll start blasting out water.
Jump on it and you'll be launched through the air, which can get you quick access to high places – or help you escape a sticky situation quickly.
- Find the battle bus on land
When you fly into Fortnite's treacherous island at the start of the game, you're aboard a bus.
And you can find a loot-toting battle-bus on the island once you've landed, too.
All you need to do is head to the east side of the map.
On top of the bus you'll find a golden loot chest, ripe for plundering.
- Protect your fall
If you've got to get down from a great height quickly, it's tough.
Some places won't even support sliding, so the risk of losing health is very high.
Fortunately, you can build your way out of it.
Simply start falling and then quickly build a floor panel using your materials.
Keep doing this all the way down, protecting your fall with what's effectively a giant staircase to the ground.
- Change your daily challenge
Got a daily challenge you don't like? Well just change it!
Open the Inspect Challenges page and then abandon the one you're not keen on.
Don't worry about missing out, either – it'll just be replaced by a new (and hopefully better) one.
