So.... what now...?
The rules state that if two players land on the same square, they have to fight.
But the rules also say that if I am in melee with a zombie, I must melee the zombie.
So who must I melee first? Player 10 or the runner?
and if I take out the runner does that mean player 10 gets to hit me without risk of getting struck back?
Similarly, if I simply do not attack the runner and wait for player 10 to take it out, can I attack player 10 without a care in the world?
I'm not sure how to make this fair.. but whoever moves first, player 10 or me, 'loses' this round?
One action per turn is really too limited I think :-/
You may attack either the zombie OR the other player. Taking out a zombie is 1 hit, so they can no longer hit back. Taking out a player will take 3 hits, so the zombie would be my first choice unless you think the zombie will assist YOU with killing the other player. That is also possible because the zombie attacks either one. So it all depends on luck. If one player and the zombie hit the other player, that's 2 points in one turn. If the player attacks the zombie instead and kills it, then each player has a chance of killing the other. Which-ever gets 3 hits in first lives to move. Nothing is for certain. I'm really considering adding another layer to the game for next time based on a suggestion of dropping random treasure chests around the map. More uncertainty!
Hmmmmmm... so since player 10 and me are now in the same square, it basically means we are locked into combat for 3 turns + the zombie slaying turn? We cannot disengage until we're the last one's in the square alive?
Easy choice then: I attack player 10!
It's only a matter of time anyway and I best strike first!
and hope the zombie gives me a hand!!
From the rules:
Key word here is "may". You have a choice. When there are only 2 characters left, then there is no longer a choice and the last 2 fight to the death.
In the case where there are 4 players in one space, they can all gang up on 1 player and eliminate one at a time or randomly choose a player to attack. It is entirely up to the players WHO they wish to attack when there are more than 2 in a single square. Whatever happens, only ONE will walk away!
Player 1 (5th)
Attacks player 10. Rolls 4 for a successful hit. Player 10 suffers one damage point.
