Hi Steemit community!
I wanna share with you guys today this game I'm currently hooked on called Battlerite. I played it way back in Early Access but didn't really give that much time into it but now the game is out of Early Access and is now free to play in Steam!
Battlerite is a fast-paced arena type team deathmatch where all the abilities are aimed and a lot of skill is involved. This all happens in a very tightly-crafted spaced that gets even tinier as the timer goes down and each game of Battlerite would only consume around 8-10 minutes of your life. There is a modest pool of champions in the game you can choose from. There's a really muscular assassin frog, a time-bending llama, a very big dumb dude, and a lot more. The art style is fantastic that I would say similar to that of League of Legends.
It's a lot of fun to play alone but even more fun with friends.
There is a lot of skill involved to play this game although the skill curve required to be good at it isn't as steep as let's say DOTA 2 or CS:GO. Each game usually lasts only for a few minutes which is a big deal for those of you who don't have the luxury of time to commit 50 minutes for a DOTA game or half an hour in Dark Souls. Battlerite offers a very light and casual experience, where the game is too short for salt to build up in your team or the enemy.
It offers the regular progression of account level and champion level or mastery. Its in game transactions are primarily focused on cosmetic items with a loot box system similar to that of Overwatch.
Despite it being laid back and casual, it can get really competitive once you start playing league or their ranked games. It gets really intense when everyone in the game is equally skilled and you see the arena shrinking but everyone's still alive.
To end it, Battlerite is a tremendously fun game that is fast-paced with virtually zero downtime with a very casual player experience, oh and did I mention it's FREE TO PLAY!
Hope you guys give it a shot and if you're looking for someone to play with hit me up!
I'm into Battlerite myself right now, and I have to agree that this game has a high skill curve. I remember getting very frustrated the first few times I played... until now, I still do get quite angry at myself for getting beaten up quickly. But I realized that it's how you play the game. You have to be better or you won't win. ;) Great post!
