Pokemon is obviously a HUGE franchise for Nintendo, and it looks like it will finally be making the leap to the Nintendo Switch it what could possibly be the first main-line Pokemon title on a home console.
In this video I take a look at 5 Things Pokemon for the Nintendo Switch needs in my opinion. Any Pokemon fans here on Steemit? What would you like to see? Let me know in the comments!
I wouldn't mind another game like Pokemon Colosseum or Pokemon XD.
That would be cool
I hope they take a lesson from Monolith Soft because their involvement in Breath of the Wild was a blessing, and obviously Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a great example of a traditional JRPG on modern consoles with a fresh combat system and impressive cutscenes/voice acting.
Very true!
Speaking on the idea of re-inventing combat as we know it in Pokemon, one of the ideas I had would be to make it more active based combat. Have you played Final Fantasy XV yet? I was thinking making the combat SOMEWHAT similar to that vein to bypass the normal turn based action we see in the handheld games.
I like that line of thinking!
Unless it's Pokemon Snap 2, I'm not interested.
Good list. I am excited about the future Pokemon switch game.
I would love to be able to play a mainline Pokemon game on my TV. I've never really been a big fan of the franchise since the originals but I think this might bring me back. Especially if they mix up the formula a bit.
To me, exploration was always a big part of the series. If they can optimize the game to have as big a world as possible and not include all 800+ Pokemon, I would be fine with that.
