Next 3 Months = 3 Steam Sales

in #gaming7 years ago (edited)

Yup, you understood correctly.
Steam announced (leaked) that for the next 3 months, there will be a Steam Sale each month.

Here are the exact dates:

  • Halloween Sale: Thursday 26th October to Wednesday 1st November
  • Black Friday Sale: Wednesday 22nd November to Tuesday 28th November
  • Winter Sale: Thursday 21st December to Thursday 4th January 2018

I do personally think that the highest discounts will be on the Winter Sale, yet... if you find games at or beyond 75%, this is usually the maximum Steam will discount.

Spend responsibly and Game Happily !!!

I believe these dates were leaked, not announced. But damn ... my wallet is gonna suffer. And I still have hundreds of games that I haven't played... * sighs *

aha, true :)
Thanks and corrected in the post.
I for one, try to convince myself not to buy any... that way I buy only a few xD

No worries mate. Mistakes are human :)
And I can try to convince myself to hold off on buying. Especially because I'm also romanian, so games here are quite expensive, but who am I kidding? My account didn't get this big by me not being like a kid in a candy store.

Useful info is useful. I only have one major purchase that I plan to make during one of these sales: Divinity Original Sin 2 :D and am pondering getting the Fallout 4 GOTY version if it comes on a serious sale.

One tip to avoid overspending on games you never get play is to have well-stocked and carefully made wishlists - Steam is great but I also buy a lot of older games on GOG as well ;) - and only buy things on sale from the wishlists. That way you are at least more likely to eventually play those games ;)

indeed, yet... I do only buy things from my wishlist... from my Steam wishlist, GoG wishlist, other wishlists, also there is humble with their damn good deals and charity driven bundles :D
