Hi everyone, this is my first post on Steemit.
I thought about what I should or shouldn't say here and I came to the conclusion that I (or we) should talk about something that people enjoy of: that's gaming.
There are many perspectives about how gaming influences our way to see through life, how it changes our lifestyle or how it stucks through some bad habits.
Media tend to compare (and sometimes justify) shootings with games like GTA, Counter-Strike or any FPS (First Person Shooter), school problems with Bully The Game and even some countries have banned those and more videogames from circulation due to violence and/or cultural issues.
According to Wikipedia, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia commonly banned Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare because "of Middle East role-playing as terrorist" even though they released it few weeks later "after developers removed the text on the frames".
In such cultural countries, sexual content (mainly homosexual) and the use of drugs and alcohol are also the reason for games like Saints Row: The Third and Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni being prohibited, but the highlighted game is God of War since it has been banned "due to the word God in title and depiction of Greek deities in the game".
It's easy to compare the impact of games with the impact of movies. On both, the consumer is experiencing something that he probably didn't live in a place that he probably doesn't know, making it proper to think forward or, in some cases, to see reality.
And you.. what's your opinion on this?
Be consistent good luck
thanks bro, better every post =)
