Have you tried scouting and finding your own players in career mode? I usually never play online, all I play is career mode. and usually my goal is to find the next Ronaldo, or the next Messi. my biggest find was a spanish attacking midfielder who reached a 94 rating.

I usually don't scout for young talented players. I'd rather buy one or two top players, so I can instantly make my starting 11 even better.
