I agree 109%, but I feel like a lot of our recent problems in all are because of "putting people on a pedestal" and expecting too much out of them.
I have a lot of respect for various journalists and opinion piece authors, but in the end they are just people, and everyone needs to understand that.
Think about your best and worst self, and expect that from most people.
