Not much has been released other than a short teaser and a new twitter account. But from what we know this is going to be a card game.... well another card game.
Valve has properly been following Hearthstone and it's immense success over the last couple of years and wanted to make a card game of their own. For me personally, I enjoy playing Hearthstone from time to time. But the trading card genre does not interest me that much. Hearthstone is in many ways a simple card game, looking into one of the most popular card games of all time Magic: The Gathering the rules are way more sophisticated and the learning curve is much more steep. But where do Artifact set to be? will it be a clone of Hearthstone and try to suck off some of the Dota IP success or will it be a more hardcore card game tuned to people who are invested in learning lots of rules and concepts?
What do you think/hope?
