RE: 5 of the BEST RETRO Co-Op Games of all Time! - Retro Games Top 5 - Part 41.

in #gaming7 years ago

I missed out on this generation of games, and then went and got myself an original Xbox as a stress relief valve when the wife and I were running our own business. Beating the crap out of each other in Dead or Alive 3 was great therapy, and much better than arguing about business decisions.

The great joy though was always split screen Halo with a couple of our friends. Hard to believe that an old tube CRT had enough resolution to share the action four ways, but sniping each other across Blood Gulch was endless fun - and we'd never had enjoyed it as much if we were all sitting in our own homes.

None of the later Halos provided the same level of fun, but it might have just been that I got older and my reflexes slowed down as the games got more complicated.

Sort:

that maybe so, but there are a few modern games that have the same co-op, split screen mechanic. will see about sorting another top 5 soon enough.

That's good to know. Maybe I should track down a used console and then make some new friends so I can invite them over!
