This controller is great, for some games. For other games it's awful. However I do recommend this controller because for those games, it's worth it. I pre ordered this controller back in 2015 so I got the controller early. I tested this controller on a few games in my library so I'll go in order.
I'll start with the good
The Evil Within: If you get a good config, the controller for this game is great! The trackpad makes it easy to shoot and aim. I had almost no problem using this controller with The Evil Within. So yes, great controller for a great game.
Alien Isolation: Default config for this game is great, although you might have to turn the sensitivity up a bit. But the overall controls are good. The trackpad makes a first person experience easy, so this makes it a great controller to play with.
Rocket League: You don't need to use the trackpad that much for the core gameplay that much, but the controller works perfectly for the game. Not much else to say really.
Before I move onto the bad I want to write about the feel of the controller. At first grip, it will feel awkward if you use the standard Xbox One or Playstation 4 controller, like really strange. After a little while you start to get used to it, so don't feel bad about your purchase if you don't like it at first, it'll start to grow on you. For this controller, it's not for console users. I've showed my brothers that play on Xbox this controller and they didn't have a good first impression. Other console users have said that they also have mixed reviews on this controller, so keep that in mind. For the games I'm about to list make sure to have a standard Xbox One controller or PS4 controller just in case.
Max Payne 3: Awful. I spent an hour and a half trying to find a good config and tweaking it myself for it to work. Just too difficult to play with this controller. It's really difficult trying to get the perfect shot. So I recommend using a mouse and keyboard or a standard XOne or PS4 controller for this game.
Grand Theft Auto V: Same problem with Max Payne 3, the aim was too hard to manage, strange though I thought this device would be perfect for it but I guess not. You absolutely need aim assist on or otherwise you're going to be a horrible shooter for the job. Disapointing because I do play this game a lot.
Fallout 4: I couldn't aim for shit in this game, I play this game with a mouse and keyboard (as well as all the other games I listed) but this time I was playing it on my TV so I had to use a controller and the Steam controller was in my reach. Unfortunately this device didn't live up to my expectations. The aim was so difficult that I just switched to the Xbox controller for the duration of that session. I was happy to return to my mouse and keyboard after that.
Those are the games I've tested so far and I might update the list but for now, this is what I'll write. Overall I'd rate this controller 7/10. For some first person games I'd definietly recommend this controller but for some I'd go against. Same with Third Person games. Depends on what you like, but if you are buying for the wireless sake, there's a wireless receiver for Xbox One controllers that work with Windows 10.
These are pretty nice looking. How have I not seen these before!
The controller or the games? Either way, I recommend checking them out lol.
Control
Ah. Like I stated in the review the controller is only good for some games and others it's not. I think it's worth a buy but it's going to take awhile to get used to. Takes a lot of experimentation too.
