Great post. I only pre-order when I know the game is a sure thing. Last of us 2 for example or Destiny 2. With some games it's almost a given what you're gonna get, and if I like the series, I have no problem with pre-ordering. I would never pre-order new IP's because I don't know what I'm gonna get.
