My White Sage Is Starting To Flower

Yes, my white sage is starting to flower. The bees do come around, but it is hard for me to capture them as by the time my Moto G focuses they switch flowers.

I guess I could have used another camera.

To me the flowers are pretty and they do attract the bees. I do like to see it when the big carpenter bees come around.

They seem to work so hard. The honey bees come around too. Then there are these really little bees that do a lot of hovering around. They all are important and it is better that they stop at my place then at others.

On both sides of me the neighbors like to use Roundup. Well stuff like that can kill off the bees.

Well, I just checked some articles. Some say that Roundup does not kill bees. Then there are articles that it does kill bees.

Well, who do you believe? When it comes to articles you still have to follow the money. Who is paying for the articles? Who are the advertisers? Can writers be bought to slant a certain story?

You know what is the best thing to do? Just ask, Does this Roundup kill anything? Yes, it kills plants. Well, then the next question is to ask, if it can kill plants can it kill insects that land on plants?

It is almost like you will get to opinions that are sometimes opposite of each other. Well I won't use Roundup. No, I won't. If I need to kill a plant I will use an old fashioned hoe.

With a hoe you can kill a weed that you don't want and avoid the plant you do want.

Well, what is a weed anyway other than a misplaced plant. Some weeds can even be food for you. I do have those dandelions that I will sometimes eat. I would only trust it from my yard, but not my neighbor's.

OK, so let's get back to my white sage. I do like the aroma of the white sage. Sometimes I brush up against the plant and it will give a pleasant scent. Well, at least I like the scent.

Other people like the scent too as they sell it's essential oil. Some say that the scent of the white sage brings up the mood. That might be true.

My sage plant has been with me for years. During it's flowering they grow tall, then during the frost around December for me the taller part of the plants dies off.

The bottom of the plant does not die off for me at least. So I just cut off the dead parts and it just keeps on growing.

It is nice to see my sage plant go through it's stages and now the stage is flowering.
