Gardening 2019 - Weekly Update #1

in #garden6 years ago

Spring is coming soon, so it is time to start checking in on the garden progress this week. No progress this week, because I am getting over the flu. It was supposed to be a week of doing things, but now it is just looking at how things are.

The micro gardens are a mess. The side micro garden raspberry bushes are starting to show green leaves, so they have already gotten ahead of me. I would like to create some box frames and raise the strawberry beds up a little.

The back garden has some flowers showing through, but only 1 flower. I hope to create some sort of support system for the grape plants in that garden, if they have survived.

The front garden needs to be tilled in before I can get started working on it. Nothing much will change there, except getting the watering system actually setup this season.

Sigh, i guess gardening will be my retirement hobby. I always want to do one and then I realize how much time, money, and work they are and put it off until the next year.

Looking forward to the weekly updates you provide so I can watch a garden grow this year. Hope youre feeling better soon.

I follow a few other YouTubers who garden. They have greenhouses and large lots of flat land without trees that block the sun.

At least with the gardening hobby, after you put down all the money and get the garden really going, it doesn't cost much to keep it up, if you do it right. Where other hobbies just seem to get more and more expensive.

I am so behind this year! the rain has hindered me getting out there and getting it cleaned up and going. I have gotten my greenhouse going though, and I'll try and make a post about that shortly.

Rain has been horrible. My yard is a huge sponge. And, even though it will by 70 tomorrow, I am going to guess it will go back to freezing again soon after.
