Those temperatures didn't help anything at all. I think you may have burned your plants using too much fertilizer. I always use too little and regret it later. This year I am doing a greenhouse with containers. It has been my best garden so far!

You are absolutely right. I realize I did the bonehead move of the year putting that fertilizer on. But now all I can do is live and learn. I checked out a greenhouse, a little on the expensive side for me right now but in the future I think it would be a worthwhile investment. Kudos to you on your 'best' garden.
