After much watering before the emerged downpour of the rain it was not too easy to manage the Pumpkin plant itself becas it is, the pumpkin needs a very loamy soil with little moist that will help to hold more soil and water for longer period of time. Despite all my effort to mak the Pumpkin plant grow more wider and bigger for both commercial purposes and family purposes as well the pest management system is not too active which causes loss of leaves on the plant.
The pumpkin plant itself is planted inside a big garden shed surrounded with plantain tree to provide more moist for the soil and also to shed the pumpkin plant from hash weather conditions and also to create more high survival rate for the pumpkin in the dry season to come yet the snails also known as the Pest invaded the garden and crush the green leaves into pit stains on every side of the plant.
There was no any other alternative for me to eradicate those snails causing smash on leaves, causing total ravage on the plant than to do hand picking method to eradicate them for now .
What will I do next? I think I will spray pesticides on the Pumpkin plant to serve as protection over any other Beatle, snails, termites and any form of attack.
I'm not too happy on this development on the farm because it took my time more than animals and it serves as investment for me commercially speaking.
The snails went deep to the extent of licking or I say eaten up the plant skin which shocked me When I saw it this evening.
Thanks for reading.
NOOOOO! Please, so not necessary to use pesticides. The snails HATE sawdust. sprinkle it around your plants and they won't cross. No sawdust? Dry ash works too. Make a simple pesticide spray from tobacco and fresh garlic. Can add some neem leaves. Boil together, drain and add a drop or two of dishsoap. Spray liberally to deter most insects.

Wow. Are you kidding me? That means I WILL SAY NO TO PESTICIDES THEN. Thanks so much @artemislives that's why you always got my back. Smile. I will definitely work on that solution you gave me....... Soon.

Second that, Artemis! Garlic, tobacco, soap, and if you have lots of hot chili peppers hanging around, grind them in as well. They also work wonders, and it's not just the snails that hate them, it keeps off other hungry insects too. Or, you could try the other approach: building a Snail&Slug Bar (a short drip-line under a board, with some cheep beer or better yet, a brewery byproduct they'd toss anyway, if you can get your hands on it. The snails will migrate from the whole area to congregate there, and all you have to do is just pick up the board and shake it into the chicken coop.
Can you find a better alternative to pesticide, or do you have something natural in mind? I have a love hate relationship with snails. They are such gorgeous things, but not when they eat my plants!
Smile. Yes. Although I do hand picking most times. Because I don't want to damage the real vegetable. I love snails too, sometimes ago I do rear them inside a box and empty tank...... They reproduce very fast but they die in hundreds. Lol.

@matthewtonyit, out of interest and concern, why has cheetah flagged you as per below?
Thanks for your concern, as per cheetah, I got hooked sometimes ago what really happened was that I did my own video, edited it for more than 3hours before it got done. I wrote my opinion regarding the video but to my surprise they said the video was a copied video, and as for me I even prefer video response and video @dtube more than writing, because I got alot of interest about video through @dtube. It thought me how to stand and talk to the camera 📷 more than ever but cheetah took me up. Although it nothing now. I spent several weeks without posting and also with them on their discord channel but hell Nooooooooo. They said Cheetah update is permanent it cant be removed. Thanks to them anyways because I was pardon after several warning.

I agree with @artemislives. I've never tried the tobacco and garlic combi, but my experience (with slugs, rather than snails) is that garlic alone works wonders too. I use coffee grounds around the plants or seashells, crushed eggshells, and even grit if I don't have enough of the former. Anything tiny that will stick to them, will keep them away. Copper around the plants (a ring or band out of copper) works like magic, but of course, you'd have to have a lot of copper wire laying around.
Here in Ireland, we have the odd snail, but it's usually the slugs that wreak havoc if they get the chance.
In my first year here, they managed to eat through my whole (nearly ready to harvest) broccoli crop in just one night!!! I cried! LOL. So I learned from an organic farmer what I've written above and never had any more problems after that. Good luck! (pesticides will not only harm the snails, but also the environment and everyone who eats the crops!)
