Lately I mentioned about my Garden in my India home. I worked on it a few days back while I was in Mumbai, but could not share it that time. This time my whole focus was on beautifying my outdoor space and also planting new plants of vegetables and fruits. Along with the gardener I made a big list first of what all can grow in this particular climate. It rains very heavily in this region for 3 months. This year the rains started by early June and it's still raining, which is a little unusual because by early October it stops raining.
Due to the extended rains the rice crop in the fields nearby is also getting impacted. There was some dry period when I planted my veggies and my gardener also thought that it would not rain now, but then it did and it spoiled a couple of my plants, though most of them have survived and doing good. The sad part is since now I am in Muscat I am not able to see them on daily basis. I do ask the caretaker to send me pictures regularly but then the way he sends the videos and pictures never gives me good clarity. My gardener is taking good care of my plants.
Let me show you today my Vegetable garden that has been planted.
That's the green bell pepper, you can see there are flowers already on it.
There is one of them already come out
Planted quite a few of them.
This is after 10 days of planting, there are a few bell peppers already growing. I feel so happy looking at it.
Of the same family, planted some Chilli plants. They are useful in day to day cooking, though the use in my kitchen is very less, but it's always good to have in the kitchen garden.
That's the brinjal, planted 3 of these.
This is the progress after 2 weeks.
And some tomatoes.
This is what they are now.
That's the bitter gourd plant
This one I know always grows very fast.
I am sure in a few days the vegetable will start coming on it.
I will share more of my garden in the following blogs.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
Chillies are well set ,and put all in a sequence.
Yes, my caretaker likes to do all this decoration
u did a great job & ur plants seems to b flourishing n great shape & health, glad they survived the unexpected weather changes- "Due to the extended rains the rice crop in the fields nearby is also getting impacted"- "that's bad, many working n rice fields will b negatively impacted", "f rice requires much water why rain have a negative impact on rice fields ?", my self have just a few fruit trees but bought them grown up so didn't really do much work- tried growing fruits "beside tomatoes haha" ?, again great job- well done & have a nice day
Yes, that's right, rains are required for rice fields but this is after the season after the full crop is grown, so then after that anything is not good.
Getting a little bigger ones are much easier, and grow faster for sure
Wow, aapko gardening mein dekhke accha lag raha hai. Frankly jis din aapne aapka farm house dikhaya tha main tabhi soch raha tha ki aapne usme vegetable garden kyun nahi banaya. But anyways, ye plants jabardast hain.
Bas ek baat batani hai ummid hai aapko Mera ye batana bura nahi lagega ki aapke pepper plant mein mujhe ek to 'leaf curl' ki samasya dikh rahi hai aur ek jagah mujhe mealybug jaisa kuch dikh raha hai. Mealybug agar badhega to isko khane ke liye chitiyaan aayengi aur phir inki ladai mein aapka pura paudha kharaab ho sakta hai aur leaf curl' ki wajah se paudhe aur fruits ki growth bahut dheemi ho jati hai to agar aap Inka treatment kar lo to in paudhon ke fruits Oman tak export hone ke liye taiyaar ho jayenge😁
Thank you so much for the tips, it is very helpful. I have just started so all tips are welcome, I have to learn a lot on farming. I will take a note of your advice
Namaste🙏 , I love gardening, and as you know, living in a city comes with space constraints. Despite that, I have a few plants on my small balcony. I noticed that in your new home, you've created a dedicated space for everything, making it ideal for city living, even outside city area. I admire your home decoration skills🤩

City homes are all small and space cramped, even my mumbai home has lack of space so this is like a heaven for me.

caretaker?:) Wow, something new for me:)
who is it? A person who takes care of your garden when you're absent? And how can you trust him? maybe he will take all your plants and disappear forever?:)
Peppers are great!
Yes, a gardener who takes care and charges for services. No my dear they are all trustworthy people, and do these services for many people. It is their profession and they do it with honesty
