I grow green beans in my yard, and harvest over eight ounces every few weeks. I was not expecting this Kentucky Wonder pole bean plant to keep coming back, but it does with more beans every year. Cooking these beans fresh have a certain smell to them and I think taste better when pulled off the vine within a few hours.
The beans can also be dried to persevere the seeds for growing or for long term storage. I have also seen people use the beans in art, or to teach people how to count. Many uses for beans!
I have grown sweet peas too, similar to these beans but they did not survive the winter. So the Kentucky Wonder pole beans get the whole bed.
