Garden Update - Some Additions

in #garden7 years ago (edited)

Hey everyone!

I haven't been on here much again lately, life is just too busy. Plus, there hasn't been anything super interesting going on anyway.

We had a garage sale last weekend, it went quite well, we managed to get rid of a lot of things.

I think we're gonna try again this coming weekend, just one day, and see if we can get rid of a bit more before we donate the rest.

I thought you might like to see some of the new additions to the garden I added today!

I wanted to pick up a bag of potting soil yesterday so I headed to my local greenhouse. The greenhouse is a dangerous place for me, I could have easily spent every cent we made at the garage sale!! LoL

I bought a basil, habanero, melon, pumpkin, three kinds of mint and a pink strawberry plant.

I planted the mint in my side bed, hopefully they over winter well!

The three new mints are grapefruit, chocolate and pineapple!

The pepper and basil have new pots now, they look pretty happy :)

I just potted the pumpkin and melon for now because I'm not sure where I'm going to fit them! LoL
I'll find a place soon, hopefully they'll be easy to train and I'll have them grow vertically.

The garden is growing fantastically and I couldn't be more pleased!

Very pretty Strawberry flowers... Mint is my favorite especially good with spring roll wraps.

Thanks! I love mint too, I use it mostly as tea though, I dry out a ton of it to last the winter :)
Sadly though, we had a weird spring, freezing temps for too long then scorching hot, my mint almost died completely! Which is pretty crazy because it's so hard to kill mint! LoL

Looks great!

Thank you!! I can't wait until it all starts producing yummy food! 😆
