what is dead may never die.... resilient garden

in #garden7 years ago

So after two weeks of camping and clean-up, we had to go see what was happening in the garden. Not to fear, the old man was watching over my produce so it wasn't completely left to its own demises.

The okra is as tall as me now and starting new shoots from the bottom.

Still producing, but the bugs got to lay eggs on this one.

I must have recovered these turnips 17 times by now and they keep pushing back up. Hubby likes them bigger but I'm afraid they are going to taste awful from air exposure! Any expert turnip farmers here? Happy for any advice!!

The green beans are dead and we ripped them out of the 4 year kale. Next to that kale is the kale that grew from the seed pods I failed to collect. Hubby's mom wants some to take home with her so it all worked out!!

And with death come regrowth, I planted lettuce where my zucchini and cucumber were last month. They seem to be happy! Enjoying to cooler weather.

Two radish... just two.... Even though I sewed just as much radish as lettuce.... Maybe a rabbit or bird got to it while we weren't watching....

Miss Eden was happy to be back in her garden! She chewed on the tomato leaves while I wasn't looking... #1 mom here...

Anyhow, I hope your gardens are fruitful and you are enjoying the wonderful process of death and regrowth or in the okra's case, refusal to pass.

Thanks for reading and sharing!
