Japanese beetles love raspberries. I’ve learned the hard way to not use pheromone traps; those things just attract the beetles from your neighbors’ yards. Just use old-fashioned soapy water and manual labor to knock the beetles into the soapy water, without squishing the beetles. Then flush the little bastards down the toilet.

I have seen Japanese beetles locally on the golf course and other places. Luckily I have not seen any in my strawberry patch yet. I will know what to do if it happens.
