(Japanese follows /
Recently I got seed packs from Japan. I have a few gardening friends in Germany, who are interested in Asian plants. Shiso (Perilla) is one of them. You may know it as a garnishing served with Sushi.
(The above image is from wikipedia.)
Difficult thing about Shiso seeds is that they don't germinate next year any more. Even I intensively grow them especially the red one this year, good to share them rather than let them die at my place.
Today I packed some Shiso seeds to share with my gardening friends. He is a professional gardener and one of my first friends in Germany. I think gardening made us friends :)
Writing a letter can be something old fashion in this Internet time but I'm always happy to write a letter to share seeds. I wish I can share this feeling with others by spreading the idea of @planthub.
If you want to try some red, green or front green - back red Shiso (from left to right in the photo on top), please feel free to contact me. I can share around 10 seeds per each. Detail of the offer is:
- Name of plant: Shiso (green/red/green-red)
- Seeds from: Japanese gardening store
- When it's bought: Spring 2019
- Expires on: Aug 2019
- Shipping from: Germany
- Shipping to: EU
- Amount: 10 seeds
- Price: 0 (Small tip with Steem/SBD to manage shipping cost is welcomed)
- My Discord account: akipponn#0011
Thanks to my friend in Japan, the seeds were shipped via postal mail and passed quarantine at Frankfult airport. I will write about shipping or bringing seeds beyond borders some day.
Happy gardening!
Yes please, I would like to try some red Shiso! I will contact you in discord during the week :)
Thank you for jumping on the experiment :) I'll write you back on Discord!
Okay, I have done some reading: it suggests that green is better for eating.
Shiso!!! Mmmm I love it 😍
Would love to take you up on the offer! Will contact you on discord:) thanks for a great idea
Arigato from my side too :) It's a kind of experiment to see seed exchange works on Steemit.
I think I am allergic to these..
!sneeze
Gesundheit, @apsu :)
You have been infected by the King of Disease!
Will you quarantine yourself?
Or will you spread the plague?
Hm - perhaps an exchange? I have some black kale (see my last Actifit report). If anyone else is interested in that I would share (same conditions).
Exchange would be nice too :) I must mention about exchange possibility for the next post.
