We had to hire a trapper to catch the groundhog family that destroyed a section of the garden one year but afterwards the plants kept being eaten until we realized that one last groundhog had been trapped inside the garden fence and just lived underground, came up to eat new growth every day and then disappeared underground again.
this time we put in a havaheart trap and caught this last one ourselves and brought it to the state forest. No problems since...

but i wrote a story for my grandchildren about it. someday i will figure out how to publish it here. I put the first chick story on a web page because it seemed so tedious posting it here.
