Weeds are just flowers you don't want. If you want it there, it's a flower. If you don't, it's a weed. It really doesn't matter what the previous gardener felt about it :P

Good luck with the squash. I've been snapping off those unfertilized duds on the assumption that doing so encourages the plant to produce more flowers/fruits.
And RASPBERRIES!!!! A plant that gives love back every summer : D
It's a great time of the year for gardeners. Which reminds me, yesterday was the middle point between summer solstice and fall equinox. So do a little dance in your garden and love your family. Now's the time :)
We'll treat the plant as a flower until we have time/energy to put that space to use in other ways.
We'll have to set up a mid solstice dance party this evening. lol
