It looks like an amazing garden. You basically have your health in the garden. Nothing like picking the results of your labor from your own garden. My mom has a garden also. I love to pick a tomato from her garden, and just rinse it off a bit and take a bite out of it. It tastes like I never eaten a tomato in my life.
Great post my friend. Keep them coming :)
Thanks so much for taking a look. You are appreciated!
You are more than welcome :)
Great looking crops you have. The onions looked ready to pop out of the ground all on their own. I couldn't tell for sure, but they looked like yellow onions.
I especially enjoyed seeing the chickens all come running when you approached the fence. Thanks for taking the time and sharing with us.
Great eye, those are yellow onions! As for the chickens, they usually get treats on a daily basis as we always have left over leaves from something or other and when they see us they come running.
Thanks for stopping by!
A bountiful garden Brother. Lots of eating and putting up ahead. Good for you.
I see some poly pipe, do you irrigate to supplement the rain?
As you neared the fence your chickens knew what to do and came running. Where's the treats. Seems they are good trainers, kinda like dogs, eh?
The poly pipe used to be the frame for my light baffles while star gazing, now they just act as fence posts. What we do is capture rain water from the garage roof into 2 rain barrels and that stretches out the rain for us.
And ya, the chickens are very responsive....and a better early warning system than the dog!
I'm curious about the light baffles. Are they used to block the light glow from nearby city lights?
Here in Arizona, Sedona has the dark sky initative and no street lights. Flagstaff is working toward that goal.
We're out near The Petrified Forest and have a great night sky view.
Yeah, your dog like mine is probably unable to warn you of approaching people with the ball in its mouth.
The dog always ready, let's play! lol
My life is part humor, part roses, part thorns.
I suspect that it is.....
