Besides the fact it tastes good there is a host of health reason's why you should eat more asperagus

Asperagus is good for good for weight loss as it contains lots of both soluble and non soluble fibre, your body is slow at digesting fibre therefore it keep's you feeling full between meals, it also aids in helping with constipation. Also it only has 32 calorie's per cup full.

It is high in amino acid's which make's it a natural diretic which helps flush your body of toxins. and aids in preventing urinary tract infections

Its packed full of anthocyanins which are antioxidants and helps your body fight of damage causing free radicals aka helps prevent cancer.

It conatains vitamin e which is another important antioxidant which helps give your immune system a natural boost.

The veggie helps act as a natural aphrodisiac as it contains vitamin B6 and folate which helps with sexual arousal mixed with the vitamin e that stimulates estrogen and testosterone.

After a long night of drinking it makes a great hangover food with all the antioxidants to help remove.. or Piss out the toxins in shorter form lol

Its rich in folic acid which is great for pregnant women

Its packed with vitamin k which is essential for coagulation aka when you get a cut helps you stop bleeding faster if your body has lots of vitamin k in your intake.

It also helps boost your mood between the amino acids, vitamin b12 and tryptophan all have been scientifically proven to help people with depression.

In other words its a all around good addition to you diet regularlily, and helps keep you regular :) lol

Probably my favourite vegetable. I'm hoping I can harvest a few this spring.

i just planted mine last year so i dont think i will get any this year unfortunately

I planted one crown two years ago, but I started three from seed inside and they will be going in the ground soon. I love it raw, so I will probably just snap a couple of spears for a snack.

I get sick of chewing on it raw lol find it gets stringy, i like it boiled a little bit, fave way to eat it by far is soup tho... Snap peas raw tho are the shit! i cant wait until i can get planting outside and get my snap peas in

Yeah, I only will get maybe 3 or so spears, so I think raw will be the most productive use of their energy. I do love asparagus soup though.

And yes to the snap peas.

This year im trying heirloom purple podded peas from europe, they look funky just gonna put them in a different garden then my snap peas to make sure they dont cross pollinate

wao interesting, good post¡

thank ya
